Monstrous three-point to cap a brilliant start to a season as Champions.
Football is better with Kai, Saka, and Odegaard. The job of Arteta is to preserve their fitness at all costs. Team feels different this year. Depth is off the charts. Football has so many layers of excellence to it.
We are going to be tough to dethrone this season! Onwards!
Imagine every pixel on your screen, streamed live directly from a model. No HTML, no layout engine, no code. Just exactly what you want to see.
@eddiejiao_obj, @drewocarr and I built a prototype to see how this could actually work, and set out to make it real. We're calling it Flipbook. (1/5)
This might be the first hot take on how technology tells us how to live our lives, destroying our ability to make human decisions.
The technology in question is the sundial.

@claudeai Feature request for the Claude Chrome extension: a simple "Copy" button for outputs. Dragging to select text works, but a one-click copy would be a nice UX win 😀
@partiful too many notifications are reducing the quality of the Partiful experience. I shouldn’t have to turn them off for each individual invite. It’s become like spam so I’ve decided to completely them off from iOS settings
Here’s what we found:
-Strenuous evening workouts can delay sleep onset, shorten sleep duration, & reduce sleep quality
-Elevated nocturnal heart rate & decreased heart rate variability were observed post high-strain evening exercise
-Workouts concluding at least 4 hours before bedtime showed no negative impact on sleep.
UN: Famine Spreading in Sudan as WFP Struggles to Reach Millions Before Rainy Season
Sudan now faces the world’s largest hunger crisis, with 24.6 million people facing acute hunger. Over 638,000 people are experiencing catastrophic hunger (IPC5/ famine)—the highest number globally. UN’s World Food Programme warns that Sudan’s hunger crisis is deepening. The details:
➤ Millions are at risk of being cut off from aid as the rainy season approaches, and as armed groups continue blocking convoys and delaying the pre-positioning of supplies in key locations before roads become impassable.
➤ Famine has been confirmed in 10 locations: 8 in North Darfur (including Zamzam Camp) and 2 in the Western Nuba Mountains
➤ Another 17 areas are at risk, including parts of North, South, and East Darfur, the Nuba Mountains, Khartoum, and Gezira
➤ In the worst-hit areas, one in three children is acutely malnourished, exceeding famine thresholds
➤ WFP is reaching over 3 million people monthly but aims to scale up to 7 million by mid-year
➤ WFP says $650 million is urgently needed to sustain operations in Sudan through the next six months. That represents an 80% gap in funding.
➤ Video: No aid convoy has reached Zamzam Camp since October 2024 due to a siege and obstruction by the RSF. Around 500,000 people in Zamzam and 1.8 million in and around El Fasher face extreme shortages, and UN agencies report daily famine-related deaths in both areas.
@yaseralkayale@julianweisser I evaluate conference/event ROI on 2 things:
1. Education - Did I learn something new (and useful)?
2. Networking - Did I meet cool/interesting people that I'd like to stay in touch with?
Meeting one means I might go again, meeting both means I’ll buy early bird tickets next year

Over 2 million babies are estimated to have been born in 18 months of devastating conflict in #Sudan, all at risk from a decimated healthcare system and crisis levels of hunger, according to new analysis by @save_children

"The war in Sudan has received a fraction of the attention given to Gaza and Ukraine. Yet it threatens to be deadlier than either conflict....Perhaps 150,000 people have been slaughtered and bodies are piling up in makeshift cemeteries visible from space." https://t.co/akePXPxX9L
Sudan has entered a downward spiral of extreme conflict-induced hunger. The U.N. Security Council should immediately take action, including by adopting targeted sanctions against individuals responsible for obstructing aid access in Darfur.

The Pyramid of Giza took about 1.6 gigahours of human effort to build.
The Apollo Program took 2.3 gigahours over 11 years.
During its peak, World of Warcraft consumed 13.2 gigahours per year.
Imagine what we could build if design tools were as fun as video games?
@Faktastic11 I can think of one 2 party system that’s doing a poor job with many significant issues that few, if any, are envious of.
A reorg every now and again could help systems better adapt to serve their purpose and create room for new ideas
