What a tragedy. It has been announced that Charlie Kirk has died after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University today. This young man loved his country and invested his time and energy in trying to make it the best it could be. He stood boldly for conservative values and defended free speech for all of us. Most importantly, Charlie loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for his wife Erika, their two young children, and all of their family. It’s in these moments of darkness that we need to stand on the Scripture that Erika shared on social media, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
Focus on the Family President @DalyFocus issued the following statement today about the murder of Charlie Kirk:
Like millions of Americans, we are shocked and saddened by the murder of Charlie Kirk. It is a dark day when we lose such a young man who was a bright light modeling the importance of standing unwaveringly for truth, and doing so respectfully even with those who vehemently disagreed with him.
We join with the many who are praying for Charlie’s widow Erika and their two children as they cope with the aftermath of losing their husband and father in such an unspeakably violent manner.
The investigation into this terrible tragedy is only just beginning. There will be much to reflect on when the shooter is brought to justice and the motive comes into focus. What we do know for certain at this early juncture is that Charlie Kirk was a man who lived by the courage of his Christian convictions. Emulating him in this regard is the best honor we can pay to his memory and his legacy.
Only in Colorado will a corrupt DA protect a p3dophile over a child.
Solomon Galligan, a trans-identified man attempted to kidnap a child from Black Hills Elementary School in Aurora, and was found mentally incompetent to stand trial so the DA is dropping all charges due to a recent change in Colorado law!
He has been in & out of jail several times for major crimes, and released each time with no charges because he's too "incompetent." Galligan is also a registered sex offender after he was convicted of non-consent sexual contact in 2011, and convicted again in 2012 for failing to initially register as a sex offender!
His own family has begged him to be locked up for long-term mental health treatment but state hospitals keep releasing him because there "aren't enough beds."
“Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
(Matthew 22:37-39)
