According to a recent poll (August 10), taken by the only pollster who got the last two election cycles right, Netanyahu's Likud Party is projected to get 33 Knesset seats and his main rival Eisenkot's Party is projected to get 23 seats. The poll that asked who is most suitable to be Prime Minister was more telling. Netanyahu got 54% and Eizenkot got 34%. See details below:
Respectfully, I say to our leadership, Israel will not be destroyed by the Iranian regime and would never have been destroyed by the Iranian regime. Israel has military capabilities that have yet to be unleashed but likely would be unleashed if its very existence were at issue, a population of patriots that has been willing and will always be willing to fight for its security and survival and is battle hardened since its founding, and a Biblical connection to its land that reaches back nearly 4,000 years. Nations have come and gone, empires have come and gone, but the Jewish people have survived and thrived through it all. Israel would not have been wiped off the planet because Israel would not have allowed it. Even now, Israel is held back and sidelined at our say-so, with pressure from the Arab states, Turkey, Pakistan, and others, because it has the will and the power to annihilate the Iranian regime. Just saying.
Unfortunately, we can't post the faces and names of all the precious Americans, military and civilian, who've been slaughtered by the Iranian regime and Hezbollah since 1979. And the faces and names of all those who were horribly maimed by this terrorist regime. For most of the last 47-years, the isolationists actually had their way. That is, we did not take the kind of military action necessary to stop the Iranian regime from killing and maiming Americans and others. And when we finally do, under President Trump, they opposed him last June and this February. While some of us, if not most of us, argue to finish the job because the regime has not, in fact, been destroyed, and urge our president to finish off the regime, these same voices claim the MOU saves the day. Of course, they would say that about any document and course of action short of destroying the regime. Meanwhile, this forever war is sure to go on. Just listen to what their "moderate" negotiators are saying today.
@NadavPollak 7. And we stand behind the government , and its leader (Netanyahu), who is the right person at the right time to deal with this situation.
I remember when Obama tried to put distance between Netanyahu and himself. Netanyahu warned that the Obama nuclear deal would be a disaster. He’s a man worth listening to, especially when dealing with Iran.
THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE
Iran may have no navy and no air force, but Iran still has the IRGC, a large army, and most of all, a regime ideology that has not been defeated (we have not armed the Iranian people to try to take it out). They are still shooting ballistic missiles and drones (and it's not clear if those weapons are part of the negotiations, although none of it will ultimately be enforceable). It appears we are protecting Hezbollah from annihilation (no, Israel is not at war with Lebanon), which is Iran's most powerful militia and has killed and maimed Americans for the last 40 years, and Hamas is rearming rather than disarming (again, Israel sought to destroy it). This does not bode well for the future, certainly after the conclusion of the Trump administration. Moreover, I don't think Communist China, our biggest threat, is impressed today (I believe it was at the outset of our military operation). If billions are directly or indirectly released to the Iranian.
This is one of the reasons I posted last evening there needs to be a criminal investigation of the leak to Barack Ravid at Axios. And reiterate that now. See the report below. That said, there must be no safe harbor for Hezbollah, Israel must be free to do what it must, and Iran must not call the shots. But last evening’s leak was diabolical and requires FBI/DOJ action.
MORE RE YESTERDAY'S LEAK ABOUT THE PHONE CALL BETWEEN POTUS AND BIBII
Barack Ravid at Axios should be fired. Reason: his story was largely fabricated by those leaking anonymously leaking to him. The media need to take seriously the accuracy of what they report and these media companies need to clean up their messes. Axios should issue an immediate correction and apology, and the DOJ/FBI should open a criminal investigation today. A criminal investigation is warranted because of the nature of the leak and the purpose, which was to damage relations between our country and Israel, give aid and support to the enemy, and influence the course of the war/negotiations in a way that is harmful to our country.
I have already commented on the actual substance of the call: Israel must be free to destroy Hezbollah. Hezbollah continues to rain thousands of missiles and drones against Israel, at the direction of its Iranian regime masters. Israel is a sovereign nation that must and will protect its people. Let's recall that Hezbollah has killed hundreds of Americans, including Marines, over the years. They are doing us a favor as well by taking on Hezbollah, which we've refused to do for decades.
Moreover, Iran must not be able to dictate terms of any agreement, including its demand to protect Hezbollah should any deal be struck (and, obviously, I've made my opposition to any deal known -- the regime needs to be eliminated if we, in our country, as well as the rest of the world, are to be finally free of the Islamist nuclear and terror threat -- see my monologue last Sunday on Fox).
WHAT IF HEZBOLLAH WAS A MEXICAN DRUG CARTEL FIRING MISSILES INTO OUR COUNTRY?
Simple questions: What would we do if Mexican drug cartels fired thousands of missiles into our country, depopulating the Southwestern part of the United States? Would we limit our response to defensive military action? Would we halt attacking their main location because it was near a city? What would we do?
