Last tweet of this semester! Canโt believe freshman year is coming to a close! This semester flew by and Iโm going to miss this class! Iโm proud of the work I did and Iโm going to miss all our teenage girl discussions!#1102girlhood
I had so much fun with the class of G5, we had such great discussions about the teenage girl and how she continues to evolve! Very proud of the work we all did!โค๏ธ #1102girlhood
Iโve never been too much of a tweeter but I really enjoyed reading our hashtag and learning what others thought about the course! I would recommend this class to any freshman b/c I learned so much about the teenage girl! Excited to read other YA novels this summer #1102girlhood
The creative adaptation portion of the history girl project does not really have any boundaries which makes me nervous, because Iโm not sure if my work is too much or too little. But Iโm happy with the work Iโm producing! #1102girlhood
@RaynaDaley6 Completely agree with you on this! Loved this class and everything I learned about the teenage girl. Most specifically, I loved the YA novels and the magazine project because my long article was one that I was very proud of in terms of getting out of my comfort zone #1102girlhood
I do think however that today and in the future there is not a single word that will ever define a teenage girl. A teenage girl can be anything. #1102girlhood
I think the future teenage girl will be more willing to do things out of the norm, in order to do what she wants and become who she wants to be. Technology plays a huge role in a teenage girlโs lives, usually as a resource to meet others and learn new things. #1102girlhood
Really enjoyed our discussion today about the future teenage girl and technology. I think the future teenage girl is more independent, relying on technology to communicate which can both positive and negative. #1102girlhood
@SimoneDaniell12 This immediately reminds me of The Hunger Games (even though it is considered a utopian novel) and how the brutal competition is definitely brought upon by adult authority. #1102girlhood
Working on my creative adaptation right now for the history girl project and itโs really putting my scrapbooking skills to the test! Excited to see my final product #1102girlhood
Iโm not a video game fan or a huge science fiction lover but Warcross was definitely a great read! It was an interesting concept with a gaming world that resembles reality. It made me think about how nothing remains private anymore in our technological world #1102girlhood
@ninapoulaki9 Absolutely love this!! I completely agree with this. The teenage girl grows through her experiences and choices, exploring who she wants to become. Iโve learned so much this semester about the teenage girl and how everyone has a different story. #1102girlhood
I went to the Taste Of Latin America show here on campus last night and it reminded me of One Day At A Time, with the Hispanic culture and the abuela and her religion. #1102girlhood
I also wanted to say that I absolutely enjoyed listening to all the YA novels! I loved how we were able to grab two completely different books and compare them to the teenage girl. This summer I want to read some of the YA novels that other groups read. #1102girlhood
Using today to finish up my creative adaptation of the history girl project and the explanatory essay! Iโm also excited as to how we are going to discuss the three novels in class! #1102girlhood
Happy I decided to use my free extension on the history girl project because my creative adaptation needed much more time to get to the product I want! #1102girlhood
I used to think of the teenage girl as simply reckless and going against the rules, but teenage girls are all different and become independent through their thought out choices and experiences #1102girlhood
After todayโs discussion of One Day At A Time in relation to the teenage girl, I definitely have changed my answer of what definies the teenage girl from the beginning of the semester. #1102girlhood
Today, I think the teenage girl is defined as constantly changing in a positive way. Changing and experimenting to become in tune with who the teenage girl wants to become and how she wants to be seen in the world. #1102girlhood
