Unsolicited advice to my friends taking the bar exam—here are some things people taught me last summer that I found immensely helpful come exam day:
@AmericanAir I said make it clear. Don’t bury it in your FAQs or terms and conditions. You say “NON REFUNDABLE” in all caps. You should do the same with tickets. Don’t hide stuff from people and then try to justify it by sending me a link to your policies.
@AmericanAir 3. The first rep I spoke to was incredibly unhelpful and blamed us. That is pathetic. I was in the restaurant industry—and am now a lawyer who interacts with clients routinely—so I know far too well the long-standing mantra that the client/customer is always right.
@AmericanAir 1. You need to make it very clear to people that if they don’t take the first flight of their ROUNDTRIP ticket, the return flight is cancelled. The fact that I only found out because I didn’t get a check in notification is absolutely unacceptable, especially because . . .
@AmericanAir 2. The fact that I now have to PAY YOU for a WORSE FLIGHT (not direct, traveling ALL DAY on a holiday now) because you decided to cancel my flight without my knowledge is absolutely, positively BAFFLING. And disgusting. I should not have had to pay a single dollar for YOUR
@AmericanAir I rebooked a ONE WAY flight to Cancun WITH AMERICAN. Y’all are smart and have good technology—I know you can figure out that I’m obviously going to Cancun even before I didn’t make my first flight.
That, because I didn’t make the first leg of my flight, my ENTIRE TRIP was cancelled. The rep basically BLAMED US for not calling @AmericanAir in advance (and then said there would have been nothing they could have done if I called anyway…). She then told me I needed to pay …
Because I initially purchased a non-reimbursable ticket, I bought a new one way ticket to Cancun THROUGH AMERICAN. This morning, my boyfriend got a check in notification for our original flight and I didn’t. We called @AmericanAir and the person we spoke to said …
If you don’t want to get stuck in Mexico, avoid @AmericanAir. I am shook. Months ago, I purchased a round trip ticket from Philly to Cancun for my best friend’s wedding. The day before I was scheduled to leave, I was forced to change my flight for work-related reasons. (1)
If you're an employer with at least 100 employees, you'll likely soon need a vaccination policy. Our attorneys Stacey Pitcher & Melissa Blanco go through the OSHA order & what you'll need to consider. https://t.co/koPk4elt6o
I feel this tweet! I relied on @azbrodsky’s article in writing my law review article, and now hearing people discuss it (in places other than Reddit, where I have been labeled a crazy person 🙃) is unreal! 🙏🏼
It will never stop surprising me that I wrote a term paper in law school, a bunch of people read it, and now there's maybe going to be an actual law??? https://t.co/TCoXRi0bt2
