“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad” (Prov 12:25). Many people you encounter today may be carrying heavy burdens. A kind, thoughtful, encouraging, corrective, and instructional word may make all the difference in their lives.
Many church leaders won’t talk about things like abortion, gender, and marriage—even though they’re Genesis 1 issues—because they don’t want to be “divisive.” But maybe if more pastors were clear on these fundamentals, the church wouldn’t be so divided.
Just witnessed to a teenager who says he’s a Buddhist. When I asked him what he believes about life after death, he said he’d figure it out after he dies. Friends, it doesn’t work that way. Jesus is the only way to God, and you must get right with God this side of the grave.
Today, my parents celebrate 45 years of marriage. What a wonderful accomplishment and privilege I have had to observe them faithfully live for the Lord and love each other. As a young girl, I always knew I wanted to have a marriage like theirs. Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad!
We are excited to announce that we are pregnant again with baby #3 (due January 2022)! And, this time, it’s a girl! God has truly done exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ask or imagine. All glory goes to Him for this good gift! @MelodyjSchmidt
Bc Moses disobeyed, God did not allow him to enter into the Promised Land (Deut 32:48-52). Brothers and sisters, let us learn from Moses—Sin has consequences. We can choose our sin, but God chooses the consequences.
If you think your sin is secret, ponder this truth: “O God, it is You who knows my folly, and my wrongs are not hidden from You” (Ps 69:5). God already knows what you’ve done. So, confess it to Him and receive forgiveness in Christ.
Thank you, Dr. @albertmohler! Yes, Scripture clearly teaches that women are uniquely gifted for various and important ministries within the local church but only men are to hold the office of pastor and to fulfill the function of preaching to the congregation (1 Tim 2:12-3:7).
@jmpayne12 So true and so good! Such conversations are hard but I try and remind myself I’m a servant of the Lord and live to please him which requires me to love others well and stand on the truth of His Word.
Important Parenting Tip—Talk about the gospel and Scripture with your children often, while they are still very young. In doing so, as the get older, gospel conversations will be natural and easier.
Nearly 100% of Florida students have access to in-person instruction, per the governor's order early last year. Yet the state has fewer pediatric cases per 100,000 total since the beginning of the pandemic than CA, where just 5.4% are in school https://t.co/RRsNMunhXp
On Mondays many in our church are praying for our President & his administration. Pray with me today that Joe Biden will understand the sacredness of life in the womb (Ps 139:13-18), that abortion is not healthcare but murder, & that he will value life from the womb to the tomb.
