If Arsenal win the league, watch the narratives:
• I’ll only praise Arteta if he retains it — this is a one-off
• Do the League + UCL, then we’ll talk greatness
• They’ve won it before, nothing historic
• Elite teams sustain it, not win it once
• Where are the other trophies?
•They didn’t reinvent anything, just repeated history
•Everyone else handed it to them
•£1bn spent… bare minimum
•Asterisk it — Liverpool had an off-year
•Others collapsed, Arsenal didn’t win it
•Boring, robotic football — standards have dropped
•Doesn’t erase the recent bottle jobs
•One-season wonders don’t build legacies
•My high standards are why they won
If you talk more about another club than your own, that club is bigger than your club.
If you need to borrow the success of other clubs to mock another club, that club is better than your club.
If you are living in the past, it is because you are uncomfortable with the present.
Every single day, I bless God that Pep was still in this league when Arteta won the EPL. Not just that Pep was in the league, he competed directly against Arteta and lost. I wasn’t ready for the “Arteta only won it because Pep left” agenda. Thank goodness!
Life is interesting, when you win, you are a genius, when you don’t, you become a villain. Arteta would have easily defeated this PSG side 1-0 with 24% possession and be called a genius if not for that Mosquera’s minute of madness. Now, he is seen as someone who refused to play.
People score penanka and are tagged to have big balls, but when they miss, they become arrogant and unserious.
The outcome determines how you will be rated!
I literally watched people said the prestigious EPL trophy was not all that last night.
They did it with FACup, did with community shield I didn’t really deep it but to say EPL is not that special last night? Everyone has genuinely ran mad.
