Pretend like you're punishing BCGame as well as Sashi and say if they reach out you can find a solution.
Reply to BCGame and give them an exception. Ignore Sashi. Fuck HUNDEN!
Everybody quotes this new rule from Valve:
"A roster is only eligible for a Regional Assignment if they did not appear in any other region's VRS list in the preceding three calendar months."
But I haven't seen anyone quote what a roster is in VRS.
Here is Valve's own definition from the TOR:
"1.2 "Roster" shall be a collection of five specific Athletes, irrespective of their current or later association with a given Team organization."
If you read it by the letter then this new rule does not protect against region swapping technically.
BC Games "roster" on Octobers Asian ranking is not the same "roster" which BC Game had on Septembers EU ranking 👇
This rule seems too vague and open for interpretation in my opinion. What exactly does "roster" mean in this rule? Where is the line drawn for when a new roster is not the same as an older roster anymore?
They probably really mean a roster that still carries points earned by a previous iteration of the roster which had another regional assignment.
Maybe they mean a roster where at least 3 of the same players are listed on the invite roster.
The overall intention seems to be that if a roster swaps region within 3 months from a major invite they are just not eligible for an invite. But again the question arises.. what is a "roster"?
It can't be Valves very own definition from TOR in this case 🤯🤯
The new rule specifically doesn't say "Team organisation" either, so it isn't BC Game as such that are targeted, so BC Game could just swap one more player to Asian and if they managed to win 6 more LAN win matches they would have a new roster where all the points were earned by the Asian core.
In that case surely BC Game should be allowed to qualify for the major?
Or in a more extreme case, what if they went full Asian now and dropped the 2 European and managed to qualify winning 6 more matches?
Would be really strange if they weren't allowed to get an invite then.
With this new rule in hand I don't think anyone can know exactly how that would be handled. At least not just by reading the rule.. and then it is a bad rule for a rulebook to be honest 🙄
This brings me back to 2013.... but.. need a 5th for LAN in Brisbane 10th/11th. You get to play with Liaz/Me/Gratisfaction...and party king Viridian.
