“Milk Frog”(奶蛙) is a Chinese internet remix meme made by combining Nailong (Milk Dragon) and a frog. Nobody originally knew who created Milk Frog—it seemed to appear out of nowhere, with no traceable origin.
Chinese netizens became obsessed with finding the “birth” of Milk Frog. Eventually, they discovered that a user named Gangshou Baihao had created it. But after a lot of people started following the account, the creator became worried about copyright issues and deleted the original post that created Milk Frog.
That’s why Milk Frog’s story has become surprisingly inspirational.
Milk Frog’s older brother is a dragon. But when it came to Milk Frog, something went wrong—it mutated into something that is part dragon, part frog, yet neither a dragon nor a frog.
His older brother despised him. His biological mother even cut ties with him. From childhood, everyone around him mocked and rejected him.
But Milk Frog eventually proved himself through his own ability and became one of the biggest memes on the entire Chinese internet.
He is not a dragon.
He is not a frog.
He is simply himself—Milk Frog.
“Wild Dog Milk”(野生狗奶) is a drink that a blogger’s grandmother made for them. The drink became a viral meme on Douyin because its description is so absurd that it sounds like it was created by an unhinged mad scientist.
Its claimed shelf life is “permanent.” The first ingredient listed is supposedly “time,” so people joked that since time itself is part of the ingredients, an eternal shelf life actually makes perfect sense.
The ingredient list also supposedly contains uranium, which explains why the drink is “so powerful.” And the nutritional facts are completely ridiculous: 101 grams of protein and 150 grams of fat per 100 ml. In other words, it somehow contains more nutrition than every food on Earth combined.
The sheer absurdity of all these claims made “Wild Dog Milk” go viral.
But there is an even deeper interpretation:
Everything in this universe is destined to succumb to entropy. Disorder and dissipation are the ultimate laws written into the fabric of existence itself. All order, life, and brilliance will eventually collapse into chaos over the course of unimaginable stretches of time.
At the end of endless entropy, the universe will lose all the heat and noise it has carried for billions of years, drifting toward an absolutely silent conclusion.
Stars will burn through their cores one by one. Galaxies will slowly dissolve. The stars will go dark, planets will cease their motion, and there will be no more brilliant daylight, no more cycles of day and night, no more changing seasons.
Life that once flourished, civilizations that once thrived, and every magnificent story that was ever told will gradually disappear under the irreversible march of entropy.
This is the ultimate heat death of the universe.
All energy will eventually reach equilibrium. Temperature differences will vanish. Motion will cease. There will be no flow of energy, no new life, no new ideas, no beginnings, no endings, no joy, no sorrow.
The vast universe will become nothing but a cold, silent, perfectly uniform void.
This is the inevitable end of all things—the final destination of everything that has ever existed.
All brilliance fades into darkness.
All order dissolves into chaos.
All life falls into silence.
Every encounter and every farewell, every civilization and every wasteland, every birth and every blooming thing will ultimately escape neither destruction nor oblivion.
Everything returns to zero.
Everything returns to silence.
And yet, at this very moment, the life of Wild Dog Milk has not even begun.
“Dry Toilet Snail”(旱厕蜗牛) is a meme that originated on Douyin. Under a creator’s video about eating French-style baked escargot, two users with the same drooling profile picture shared their experiences of eating snails from a public toilet. Because the story was so bizarre and outrageous, the meme quickly went viral.
Kung Fu Squirrel(功夫松鼠) is a squirrel from the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests at Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. It recently went viral after being seen climbing and darting across the rooftops of the hall, leading people to joke that it knows kung fu.
