@Brian_Stoffel_ The company is quite constrained regarding new sources of revenues from different cybersec areas. They are really good at one single product. But that's it. Agentic AI protection is being dominated at an incredible growth pace by PANW, which, unlike Crowdst CEO, had vision
@Brian_Stoffel_ I am curious about why you have a position in Crowdstrike and not PANW, despite Palo Alto doing way bigger deals and already taking over very substantial market share in sectors where Crowdstrike pretends to move
@Brian_Stoffel_ Indeed - point taken. The key problem I see is: are we talking about a (much) better product, or the same/similar but cheaper? Imo what really matters (and often we miss this point) is the end result. Hence my point on human behavior.
@Brian_Stoffel_ Crazy how people think of tokens (and energy) as an unlimited source. This is pretty much the playbook of a new tech: 1. spread it at the lowest cost possible, 2. make people think they can't live without it, 3. charge for it as much as you can.
@Brian_Stoffel_ Take into account the tokens and computing power that certain tasks could require if run individually dowsntream the AI infrastructure. That basically makes them unsuitable to run at a scale in sectors like cyber. Cyber should aim, as well, to be embedded in the structure itself.
@signulll Supply of what exactly? Software? What has been the impact so far? Show us any trends. What sectors have been affected? You need to understand what the cost of failure is first.
@dollarsanddata Seems like you don't understand the concept of status. In simple words, it means that you realize I have a higher status without me needing to say it. Status is useless if it's not evident before the eyes of everyone.
@nesterrr78@unusual_whales The catch is inflation, which halves the purchasing power of money by half every 22 years. By the age of retirement, the 600k will equal to a current 75k.
@mattvanswol So you're deciding your daughter's future by yourself, based on market demand and supply, asking for advice on social media, and ignoring what she is genuinely passionate about? You didn't understand a thing about life or parenthood, buddy.
@QCompounding It's been more than a year since you last gave us an update on your portfolio return, which is the only post people should care to know if you're a charlatan or not.
@BrianFeroldi In 20 years, it's worth half of the value today. In 40 years, it's worth one-quarter of the value today. And this, if inflation stays at the historical average of ~3%. Inflation also compounds the other way, removing value from your money.
@Brian_Stoffel_ COVID affected equally every country; it was a politically neutral event. The recovery involved solidarity, cooperation, and trust. People took Russian and Chinese vaccines. Putin's war was also a one-person thing, so it was WWII. Inflation is gonna hit the US the most here.
@Brian_Stoffel_ Americans are underestimating the impact that this is gonna have. Sure thing, Trump can walk away any time, but the trust and US reputation are gone. The trading alliances are reshaping as we speak, and the isolation of the US has begun. Tesla is just the tip of the iceberg.
