Thank God a non-Muslim is saying it. Sometimes, if you calm down and remove hatred you will see that when Islam forbade Riba (interest), it gave a clear way out.
Let me help you guys break down these concepts briefly so you see the potential she is talking about.
1) Mudarabah is a partnership where one person brings the money and the other brings the expertise. They share the profit. If the business fails, the investor loses the capital and the worker loses their time. The risk is balanced.
2) Musharaka is a joint venture. Both parties bring money to the table. They share the profits and the losses based on what they contributed. Nobody is choking the other with fixed interest regardless of how the business performs.
3) Ijarah is basically leasing. Instead of giving you a cash loan to buy a machine or a car and charging you interest on the money, the bank buys the asset and leases it to you for a fixed fee. You are paying for the use of a real asset.
4) Istisna is used for construction and manufacturing. You fund a project before it is built, and payments are made in stages as the work progresses. It keeps the real economy moving.
Seriously, we can do away with Riba. It only enriches the lender and destroys the borrower. Finance can be ethical, practical, and still work.
Banter aside, citizens have to maintain this same energy across all levels of government.
Federal. State. Local.
We’re all stakeholders in Nigeria. You pay taxes, so ensuring accountability for public money isn’t the job of a select few.
Know what each level of government is responsible for. Follow the money. Ask questions. Keep asking until there are answers.
And you don’t have to do it alone.
Use https://t.co/ryJzBjP8Go to check what your state and local government receive. Use https://t.co/51yTmXoapB to follow federal government spending, and PHC Tracka (https://t.co/4NHkdyqjOf) to check and report what is happening at your local primary health centre.
The information is there. Use it.
#AskQuestions
Well, my brother @LegendaryJoe, could we have used the gains from subsidy removal and rising oil prices differently, knowing what we already know about our governors? Could we have used it to do a programme that benefits people directly (like SURE-P or N-Power) instead of giving all the money to governors?
When I worked in the UK Cabinet Office, we had to go to the Treasury every three months to show what we did with the money from the last three months before we could get more. Those of us from the Prime Minister’s Office were subjected to extra scrutiny.
In Nigeria, a governor can legally and Constitutionally decide that the priority for their state is religious pilgrimages or arranged marriages and nobody can do anything about it.
The governors totally control the House of Assembly and the Judiciary in their states, so even the semblance of an independent legislature and judiciary is missing at state level. They also totally control Local Governments.
The Land Use Act also gives them control over land. I have seen NASS members who criticised their governors have their homes in their home states demolished before they even finished the criticism. Of course, like the President and VP, they also have immunity from both criminal and civil actions.
So, my question is: Given what we have always known about our subnational governments, could we have done it differently?
Could we have agreed on a set of priorities that will directly benefit the public (food, transportation, electricity, primary education, primary healthcare, youth employment, etc)? The FGN and all states then all agree to work towards specific interventions within those priorities and everybody signs before any money is disbursed. Everybody mutually monitors each other and reports to the public.
I just wonder whether the FGN could have helped citizens more by undertaking some direct interventions instead of giving all the money to governors knowing how powerless citizens are against them.

In this IPO, we intend to raise just a bit more than N2 trillion, which I'm sure is too small, at an offer of N525 with a minimum subscription of only 10 shares (N5,250) to fund our refinery expansion. This IPO is for the people.
- Aliko Dangote
✅Let's talk about the Dangote Refinery IPO. 🧵
With the approval coming in at N525 per share and putting the valuation at roughly $47 billion, many people want to know two things.
1) Is this a viable opportunity to build long term wealth, and
2) does it satisfy the requirements of Shariah compliance?
In this analysis, my focus is ONLY on No. 2. As for No. 1, please seek advice from investment experts.
Here is the comprehensive Halal screening using the established equity standards from AAOIFI (The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions).
1) The Business Activity Screen: What does the company manufacture and sell? Refining crude oil into premium motor spirit, diesel, aviation fuel, and petrochemicals.
This is permissible physical commerce. There is no gambling, alcohol, pork, conventional financial intermediation, or illicit entertainment in its core operations.
Verdict = ✅
2) The Debt to Market Value Screen: Under mainstream Shariah standards, a company's total interest bearing debt must not exceed 33% of its total market capitalization.
With the refinery carrying approximately $3.65 billion in debt against a confirmed $47 billion valuation, the debt to market ratio sits at roughly 7.7%. This sits comfortably beneath the 33% threshold. Verdict = ✅
3) The Liquidity and Physical Asset Screen: To buy and sell shares above or below par value without falling into the rules of currency exchange, the business cannot merely be a pool of cash and receivables.
It must be predominantly composed of tangible, illiquid assets. The Dangote refinery is an enormous industrial complex made of steel, pipelines, storage tanks, and real crude inventory. The business easily satisfies this requirement. Verdict = ✅
4) The Impermissible Income Screen: Any interest earned from short term bank deposits must remain below 5% of total revenue.
At full capacity of 650,000 barrels a day, the refinery is projected to generate over $20 billion in annual revenue. Let us assume they leave a huge cash reserve of $1 billion sitting in a conventional bank earning 5% interest. That yields $50 million in interest income. When you divide that $50 million by $20 billion in revenue, you get 0.25%.
In my believe, Dangote as an industrial giant not leave huge piles of cash sitting idle in bank accounts just to gather interest (I might be wrong).
If anything, the non-operating interest income will be even lower in practice. Whatever the final audited number turns out to be, we will come back here to calculate that tiny percentage and you will purify it by giving it to charity without expecting a reward. Verdict = ✅
Now, let me address one major objection that many people are still battling with today.
"Dangote took billions in interest loans from commercial banks to build this project. How can it be permissible for a Muslim to buy shares in a company that operates with interest loans?"
This is my argument based on my scholarly research and understanding.
We live in an international financial system built entirely on fiat currency and interest.
If the standard for investing in public companies was set at zero exposure to conventional debt, Muslims would be completely locked out of manufacturing, aviation, agriculture, and heavy industry worldwide. Muslim wealth would be barred from owning real production assets.
This is why the jurists at AAOIFI established the 33% debt threshold. The key distinction is this; As a shareholder, you are not the one lending money on interest. You are not personally taking out a loan. You are buying a fractional share in a physical asset that refines crude oil.
Scholars look at whether the company is primarily driven by real enterprise or by financial leverage. In the case of Dangote Refinery, because the refinery is valued at $47 billion, the $3.65 billion debt is heavily diluted.

My word for September is consistency.
I pray that my energy, mind, focus, happiness, growth, spirit, time and efforts all stay consistent.
I’m ready to make serious money this month. If you’re ready, STAY CLOSE.
let’s go.
The reality and truth is that the mummy shown in the video is not the Pharaoh of Moses, and the idea that his body was preserved by a divine miracle to last until modern times is a complete internet myth.
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen (Rahimahullah) thoroughly dismantled this claim. He explained that when Allah says in Surah Yunus (10:92) that He saved Pharaoh's body to be a sign for "those who succeed you," it referred strictly to the Bani Isra'il who were alive at that exact moment.
Pharaoh had terrorized them for so long, claiming to be a god, that when he drowned, they literally could not believe he was dead. Allah caused his physical corpse to float to the shore purely so his victims could see his lifeless body with their own eyes and find closure. Once that purpose was served, the natural elements took their course.
The mummy you see on display today belongs to Ramesses II, a real Egyptian king who died in his bed in his nineties from natural causes.
His preservation is not a Quranic miracle. Please don’t forget this. And don’t mislead people. His preservation is just the result of advanced ancient Egyptian chemical engineering and mummification using natron salt.
We do not need to rely on fabricated museum folklore to validate the truth of the Quran. The Pharaoh of Moses drowned in the Red Sea, his story ended right there, and his body served its purpose thousands of years ago.
Allah knows best.
🚨UPDATE: To every business owner out there.
The Bank of Industry is currently giving out interest-free loans to support your business. This is a rare Sharia-compliant option for anyone who seeks halal funding and wants to avoid interest.
Under their iDICE programme, you can access anywhere from 1.5 million naira up to as high as 1 billion naira.
This is a huge opportunity. Please do not be among the doubters who will just scroll past. Give it a try and put your best effort into the application.
Please share this information. You might just be helping someone who desperately needs a lifeline to keep their business afloat.
God bless you all 👏🏿👏🏿

I came from a region where 3 young Teen girls made the whole country proud 3 times in the same year, and you want me to waste my time arguing with products of baby factory….!?
Nah, thank you 🙏
The Quran has 114 chapters, 77,430 words, and 323,015 letters.
Here is a young lady who memorized all of it with flawless precision, and you think that kind of brain is someone a blockhead like you can mock? How many of your so-called business pastors have memorized 60% of the Bible? Not to talk of memorizing everything.
I have seen so many ridiculous comments about the success of this young lady since yesterday. I just decided to keep mute about. Like you all have completely lost your minds.
“Oh, why not science. Her mates are winning and designing systems, robots, and here she is stuck with religion yen yen yen 🤡.
What have you built, Mr Albert Einstein of Nigeria? Yes, You. I am talking to you.
Only to make noise on social media.
Many of you think you can outsmart people like this in western education? Like someone who could master the Quran with excellence and you think one James from X app can outsmart her? You must be joking.
Let me tell you haters something. This lady has more benefits to the Nigerian society than many of you. It is hatred that is pushing many of you out of your senses.
I have kept mute since yesterday, but with this level of hatred, I am convinced you people need someone who will put you in your place.
