@ItsJustOvis Yeah very bizarre game that just feels off somehow. It forces aggression and guessing in a way that makes defensive players nervous and nerfed. But when I tried other games, I found anime games and KOF to be just like that too tbh
@Kazsune I quit quickly after release but boot up once every few months hoping I like it that time. It’s by far the most active game but it can feel stiff, repetitive, and linear. Lots of small design decisions I don’t like
@cannonballsaber It’s part of why I believe a “easier game” for newbies could just be returning to some older principles like neutral based and high pushback, rather than pressure based and frame data based. Gives new players time to think.
My very first game released! I put years of work into it! Achlys is a very introspective VN, please give it a shot!

@TheGrimFlash Lots also have strong crush counter options which would beat teching or mashing. You’ll see Idom often opt for strike regular throw, unless he’s sure or wants to keep them from getting too comfortable.
@TheGrimFlash Not a grappler main but in SFV, command grabs are punishable on up backs (and I think backdashes) but throws are not. People rarely tech normally because they don’t expect it anyways so it’s a lower risk lower reward option to test their defense.
