In a 2022 deposition, Carroll testified under oath that no one was helping her financially with legal fees. She said no pro bono, no outside funding

All the talk today is, of course, rightly on D-Day, but here's a terrific video about the liberation of the POW camps in the Philippines (specifically the raid on the camp at Cabanatuan) and the Japanese massacre of American POWs in Puerto Princesa on Palawan that precipitated their urgent necessity.
The photo is from the small WW2 museum there today that's only a short walk away from actual POW camp location. The history of liberating our POWs in the Philippines is a series of really riveting, daring raids on each location that were some of the most critical, time-sensitive missions during the liberation of the Philippines. The museum is privately owned, so I know the family who operates it greatly appreciate more visits- especially by American and Filipino veterans
