@TeprisPress So, most people don’t know that “remission” isn’t claimed by cancer doctors until the cancer isn’t detected as spreading from the original site for 2+ years after treatment. I’m not “in remission,” but my 2 separate and unrelated cancers haven’t shown any growth in 1 year.

So: Who among us is willing to put down our pens and pencils, typewriters and tablets, computers and phones, in order to take up the nearly-lost tasks of Editor, Publisher, Proofreader?

If some of us don’t, we will lose more and more excellent writing to the flood.

The quality of writing, by the nature of being so open with very few floodgates, is diluted; and those who write with effort and purpose are harder to find.

…increasingly commonplace, and the amount of writing available to the world, as well. There simply aren’t enough invested people filtering through it all to organize it into accessible chunks (and no, search engines DO NOT do a good job of this, as they’re not INVESTED.)
