2019 promises to be an impactful (yes impactful 😄) year. EBP advisors helping front line an watch this space for our first event of the year! simple effective ways to show things work or don't but what we do is learn, innovate and put the community first! @ACCJulieCooke
really interesting morning at the signs of safety launch with @LiverpoolLSCB . Great example of an evidence base being used to shape strategies and positively affect the communities of Liverpool. @ACCJulieCooke
Last night (Monday 1st October 2018) saw our annual Community First Awards at @hiltonliverpool. What a great evening celebrating the fantastic work of our officers, staff and volunteers. #CFA2018 👀Watch our short round-up video of the evening here - https://t.co/YSnfNxmwYW
For Merseyside officers, its worth having a look at the OU website. Sign up with your merpol address and access free online courses-Great for CPD! https://t.co/XM8mEvLV7H The EBP hub has loads of contacts, so come and see us and find out what's out there! @ACCJulieCooke
This is a really interesting article, highlighting a few issues. Technology yes, but also the culture of parents, depicted as workaholics, not having time to parent? https://t.co/khx1B5z8j9
Please note that we are currently experiencing technical issues with our 101 phone service. Emergency 999 calls are still being dealt with but for non-emergency enquiries, use our online form or DM our social media desk @MerPolCC. Thank you.
language used in the evidenced based world can be off putting! If you see something you are not sure of, then just ask! if you work in MERPOl pop up and see us and if you don't send us a message. If I can help ill reveal my identity if not ill hide behind the twitter name 😆.
interesting article. First evidence that public prefer uniform. Plenty of other research that shows the importance of police first contact in police legitimacy!
currently we have several members of merpol staff undertaking research. Unfortunately none of it looks at 'best donuts to eat' 😄. In all seriousness merpol is committed to supporting/producing research that helps deliver to the public. who better, than our own staff to do this!
after a bit of time off twitter we are back to share all things evidenced based! Following on from success of coercive control study by @CharlotteBarl88 we have lots of exciting things (yes EBP is exciting! 😝) happening soon. @MerPolChiefCon @kanel2016 @ACCJulieCooke
Thank you to all who attended the @N8PRP the ‘Making Sense of Coercive Control’ Conference @LancasterUni Great discussion and particular thanks to our keynote speakers, @NorthumbriaPCC & Prof Sylvia Walby #n8cc
