In their @politico article about Platner, journalists @jsscppr and @adamwren neglect to mention the word “rape” (either in the very long article or the headline) except when quoting the victim. https://t.co/z8xfoC1BKA
whenever you tell someone at a party you’re a journalist and they clamor to clarify that they’re “off the record” it’s like. you just told me a story about your cat throwing up after eating funfetti cake batter. should we call the new york times? should we invite bella hadid ?
Violent senator, elevated to cabinet by violent president, pledges to tone down violence. Is anyone naive enough to believe this promise?

"We're going to call on Mayor Mamdani to fix what the last guy got wrong." - City Council Majority Leader and Transportation Committee Chair @CMShaunAbreu
The @SpanbergerForVA retort was good. Law enforcement rhetoric.
Good affordability points.
Love her narrative about Trump personally making money at the expense of the public, detailing his corruption.

Boston mayor just said they are considering changing, long term, to a system where the city assumes responsibility for removing sidewalk snow. Love it. #visionzero
@jmp_nyc@emily_lip@PhilSustainable I don’t understand it either. Boston — a much more car-dependent city than NYC — has banned parking on major streets.
A snow emergency and parking ban will be in effect in the City of Boston starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 22. Once the snow emergency goes into effect, vehicles parked on major roads and main arteries will be towed.

@Sen_Gounardes That’s why there should be a citywide parking ban. Cars parked on the street inhibit city services.

Blizzard response comparisons:
Boston: Remove your car from public property so we can conduct emergency operations and remove snow.
NYC: Leave your car on public property for free, obstructing city ops. Car users have no other option 🤷♀️

@armenoush_nyc This USB-C-to-lightning Apple adapter is $9. https://t.co/epeQcZQr43
My iPhone came with headphones (“earbuds”) that had a lightning jack only. Instead, I buy/use headphones that have a headphone jack to use in my computer. I attach the adapter only to use with my phone.
@armenoush_nyc I use the lil nubbin adapter that is about an inch long that connects lightning to headphone. I assume there is one for USB-C to headphone too.
In a single day, the headlines are
- South Korea president sentenced to life in prison
- Prince of England arrested
Meanwhile Trump is chillin. With impunity.
Imagine living in a country that holds its criminal leaders to account.
don’t get me wrong new york is the greatest city in the world but coming back it never fails to jar me that there is no cell service on the subway. tragic example of washington, dc superiority i fear
Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
I met my bestie on the subway 23 yrs ago and have been lucky to share a great journey together.
Another reason to take the 🚇 or 🚌. You can’t meet your future sitting in traffic by yourself.
Let me know if you have any fun transit love stories.
