When we discuss student engagement, we never discuss the importance of teacher engagement. Gallup research says employees ( including teachers) are 6 times more engaged when they feel valued and that their strengths are utilized. This creates a dynamic learning environment!

I put these “You Rock” on kids’ desks and cubbies when they go above and beyond. One child was upset he hadn’t received a rock and I said, “Work hard; you’ll get a rock!” He said, “I don’t want a rock, I want The Rock.” Done. ⁦@TheRock⁩ #iteachsecond #kidsrock
