My friend and mentor @KeithJKrach and I worked together to build the Clean Network because we understood that tech competition is ultimately a competition over trust. In his @FortuneMagazine article, Keith argues that trust has now become economic and strategic infrastructure. ⬇️
Freedom only works when trust does.
America’s next 250 years will depend on our ability to earn confidence in facts, identities, institutions, technology, and one another.

My Bloomberg @opinion article on a big issue holding back AI’s potential. I call it the Actionability Gap: the disparity between an answer a model can generate and one an institution can act on with confidence. ⬇️
AI benchmarks and costs keep falling, but for most corporations the technology isn't safe enough, accurate enough or accountable enough to deploy https://t.co/naZ6U9xXXa
All AI will be cheap soon. But regardless of price, AI answers still aren’t reliable enough for institutions to act on at scale. That’s the Actionability Gap, and it’s the real bottleneck. My @Bloomberg@business@opinion piece. https://t.co/5jgGH6cxrz
A few words of reflection on the passing of @LindseyGrahamSC. He was a consequential leader who understood American exceptionalism. That’s why President Trump and our closest allies sought his counsel. Great loss for our nation and the cause of freedom.
@JohnFBachman@NEWSMAX
Hahaha. Quoting a well-known regime mouthpiece (and a member of Javad Zarif’s “Iran Experts Initiative”) who met @PahlaviReza 15 years ago!!! as someone who knows anything about the topic reeks of bias and shows an embarrassing lack of seriousness. I expected more from @Reuters.
Ali Vaez, Iran project director at the International Crisis Group, a conflict-prevention organization, said that after meeting Reza Pahlavi 15 years ago, he concluded he lacked the appetite for the political rough-and-tumble needed to lead change in Iran, and nothing since has changed his view. But Pahlavi told Reuters, ‘I'm enjoying a lot of support across the board, inside and outside of Iran’ https://t.co/JJiiauR2YA
"History will remember Lindsey Graham for many things," writes @PahlaviReza, a leader of the Iranian democratic opposition.
"I feel confident in saying that millions of Iranians will simply remember him as an American member of our family." https://t.co/BgTPN4vB60
Great interview with @KeithJKrach. We’ve worked together closely going back to our State Dept days, building the Clean Network and advancing a trust-based model of tech diplomacy. In this article, he explains why the same model—innovation, scale, trusted partners, and strength across the full tech stack—is essential to winning the AI competition with China. https://t.co/5wom7YmMjV
Iranian Crown Prince @PahlaviReza’s eulogy for Amoo Lindsey (“Uncle Lindsey,” as Sen. @LindseyGrahamSC was affectionately called by the Iranian people). https://t.co/eYOg3uAwMM
They finally said it! @VDHanson tells @marklevinshow we should bring in @PahlaviReza and declare an Iranian Government in exile and to deal with them and ignore the extremists totally while we finish depleting their power. Levin agrees it’s a “great idea.” 💡
They discussed process to deplete regime and protect citizens who revolt just before this in the show.
Sorry for the shaky video but I couldn’t find it online to screen record so this is it from TV tonight.
The Islamic Republic’s demise will spark the biggest economic boom since the end of WWII. Estimates suggest $1 TRILLION+ in US exports alone.
The Iran Peace and Prosperity Fund, announced by @SylvanAdams_ and @PahlaviReza, reflects the extraordinary potential of a free Iran.
I had the honor of meeting Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi in Paris to discuss our 2,500-year biblical bond, and work towards a free and democratic Iran.
Beyond supporting the Iranian people's fight for liberty, I announced the launch of the Iran Peace and Prosperity Fund - a global private investment initiative designed to mobilize international business and capital to rebuild Iran’s economy the moment the regime falls.
To mark this turning point, I presented him with two Jerusalem-stone Mezuzahs, inscribed by an Iranian-Israeli scribe. One will hang at the future Israeli Embassy in Tehran, and the other at the Iranian Embassy in Jerusalem.
We stand shoulder to shoulder with the brave people of Iran as we prepare for a future of freedom, peace, and mutual prosperity.
Open-weight AI isn’t the problem. IP theft is. @chamath frames the issue as government vs. open source. That’s a false choice.
There’s a difference between an independently developed model whose creator chooses to release the weights, and a model US companies accuse of large-scale unauthorized distillation.
The White House itself is making these allegations. No one’s arguing Meta’s Llama, for example, should be banned for being open.
Don’t US companies that invest billions in frontier AI deserve the same trade-secret protections every other industry gets?
The real debate isn’t open vs. closed. It’s legal vs. stolen.
Chamath: Banning Open Source AI Will Crash the Stock Market
@chamath:
“If the United States government intervenes, it will tank the stock market. Not debatable.
Now, you can debate which companies get tanked. For example, if they said, ‘No more open source. American companies cannot use open source.’
Okay, let's take an average normal company, Coca-Cola.
‘Hey, Coca-Cola, you're trying to use AI to improve your business. You know what? You can only use these two options. And those things cost 50-100x more than your other best alternative that you may use otherwise.’
That will eventually show up in your costs. And so this incredibly important input into your cost model is now orders of magnitude, multiples greater than your competitors that are outside the United States, simply because you're in the United States.
So what would the capital markets do? They're going to say, ‘Wow, you have a crazy cost structure. This doesn't make sense.’
You're forced to absorb costs that aren't rational nor market-driven. So then Coca-Cola has to get re-rated.
But then you look at the people who are selling those tokens, and this is where Anthropic and OpenAI need to understand, if the government comes in and actually tells you that there's no open source, their valuation will crater.
Why? Because all of that revenue is artificially being propped up. It's not being driven by market demand where you're being forced to compete. It's because of regulatory capture where you now get an artificial constraint. But it only works in one market.
All roads lead to market chaos if anybody gets involved, so we should just not get involved.”
Nearly 4 years ago I met @PahlaviReza. I have worked for two Prime Ministers and two UN Secretary Generals. I can say with certainty he is the real deal. An outstanding leader with vision and conviction. A leader who believes in service to a higher goal. He said in our first meeting change would come from the people of Iran. They would bring this regime down. This has always been his focus. On January 8 and 9th when tens of millions rose up in 31 provinces in response to his call he unequivocally illustrated his mass support. He is the leader who unite’s the opposition, left and right, monarchist and republican and all tribal and religious groups. He is the leader the army will follow. He has a plan to bring this regime down and a plan for the future. It is time for the world to support him and through him back the people of Iran. There will be no peace without regime change. It is an illusion. Stand with the people of Iran.
Joined @edludlow on the big debate in tech + DC: Should our companies build on Chinese open-weight AI?
We’ve spent a decade derisking from China. Now we’re entrenching their tech into our companies’ AI stacks?
But we won’t ban our way out. Time to rally around US alternatives
For those gorging on free or cheaper Chinese AI models, be careful. Don’t you understand that Chinese companies will raise their prices or restrict their models? Don’t you understand that it will be very complicated and expensive to replace your Chinese AI model when this happens? Don’t you think this is by design? Don’t you understand Beijing did took similar steps with solar panels, telecom and equipment, and critical minerals?
Great op-ed by @augama
‘To the extent that we’ve been hearing voices out of Iran from the people, they see the fall of the regime as a good thing’
Former Senior Advisor to the US Iran Envoy @MessageFromLen joins @Nicole_Zedeck on #TheRundown
Emotional words by former Navy SEAL, current Sen. @TimSheehyMT: “[The regime] wants all of us dead… They want us to be raped, burned alive, and cut into pieces. Watch the video from October 7th. That’s what they want to happen from Maine to San Diego, from Seattle to Miami… It’s time to fix this problem and make sure another generation of Americans does not have to fight this murderous savage adversary.”
