“Son aylarda, dünya genelinden insanlardan aynı soruları alıyorum.

"Nasıl hâlâ ders çalışabiliyorsun?"
"Gazze'de üniversiteler hâlâ var mı?"
"Neden hâlâ öğrenim ücreti ödemek zorundasın?"

Bunlar önemli sorular ve dürüst bir yanıt hak ediyorlar.

Evet, Gazze harap oldu.

Soykırım, en çok sevdiğim insanların canını aldı. Onlarca akrabam öldürüldü. Ailem, askeri tahliye emirleri altında defalarca yerinden edildi. Al-Shifa Hastanesi'nin kuşatmasında hayatta kaldım; hastane basıldığında ve tıbbi personel dışarı atıldığında. Milyonlarca Filistinli gibi, hiçbir insanın katlanmaması gereken deneyimler yaşadım.

Yine de, tüm bunlara rağmen, hayallerimizin ölmesine izin vermeyi reddediyoruz.

Çoğu üniversite kampüsü hasar gördü veya yok edildi, bu yüzden eğitim artık eskisi gibi sınıflarda gerçekleşmiyor. Bunun yerine, binlerce öğrenci, Gazze üniversitelerinden profesörler ve akademik personel tarafından yapılan olağanüstü çabalarla çevrimiçi olarak öğrenmeye devam ediyor; bunlar arasında Gazze İslam Üniversitesi ve El-Ezher Üniversitesi de var. Bu profesörlerin çoğu da evlerini, ailelerini ve meslektaşlarını kaybetti, yine de eğitime devam ediyorlar çünkü eğitimin direnişin bir başka biçimi olduğuna inanıyorlar.

Birçok insan neden hâlâ üniversite öğrenim ücreti ödediğimizi soruyor.

Cevap basit.

Soykırım sırasında eğitimi hayatta tutmak bedava değil.

Üniversiteler hâlâ profesörlere, idari personele, sınavlara, akademik sistemlere, teknik desteğe ve hayal edilemez koşullar altında yükseköğretimi korumak için gereken sürekli çalışmaya ihtiyaç duyuyor. Barış zamanlarında bile tıp okumak en pahalı akademik yollardan biri. Savaşta hayatta kalmaya çalışırken bunu tamamlamayı hayal edin.

Katıldığımız her ders, bir umut eylemi.

Tamamladığımız her sınav, bir direniş eylemi.

Vazgeçmeyi reddeden her öğrenci, binalar yeniden inşa edilmeden çok önce Filistin'i yeniden inşa etmeye yardım ediyor.

Bir öğrencinin eğitimine devam etmesine yardımcı olduğunuzda, bir üniversite ücretinden çok daha fazlasını yapıyorsunuz.

Bir gün yüzlerce hayat kurtarabilecek gelecekteki bir doktora yardım ediyorsunuz.

Nesilleri eğitecek gelecekteki bir öğretmene yardım ediyorsunuz.

Bilgiyi, evler, hastaneler ve üniversitelerle birlikte yok edilmekten korumaya yardım ediyorsunuz.

Bazen insanlar dayanışmanın sadece sözlerle ifade edildiğini düşünüyor.

Ama bazen dayanışma, bir hayalin hayatta kalmasının nedeni oluyor.

Bazen bir gelecekteki doktorun mezun olmasının nedeni oluyor.

Bazen bir ailenin umudunu kaybetmeyi reddetmesinin nedeni oluyor.

Yaptığımız şey sıradan değil.

Her gün savaştan, korkudan, yerinden edilmeden ve yas tutmaktan birkaç saat çalıp sadece ders çalışıyoruz.

Bizim için bu, bir mucizeden farksız.

Bir gün bu soykırım bitecek.

Tarih Gazze'nin hikâyesini anlattığında, sadece hayal edilemez acıları katlananları değil, aynı zamanda yanında durmayı seçen dünya çapındaki insanları da hatırlayacak.

Bizim için dua eden, hikâyelerimizi paylaşan, bizi cesaretlendiren veya herhangi bir şekilde destekleyen herkese teşekkür ederim.

Hopeful news from Türkiye to Palestine. 🇹🇷❤️🇵🇸

Today, my university tuition for this semester officially reached my university. This was made possible through the generosity and compassion of a kind family from Türkiye.

This precious family did not simply pay one semester's tuition. They gave me the opportunity to continue my medical education in Gaza, to keep moving forward without abandoning my journey, and to continue this struggle until graduation. Their support is a significant step toward my dream of becoming a doctor who will one day serve my people.

For a medical student in Gaza, being able to continue studying is not only a personal achievement. It means helping educate someone who will one day treat the wounded, ease the suffering of patients, and help rebuild hope in a community that desperately needs it.

For a long time, the possibility of having to stop my education weighed heavily on my shoulders. Today, part of that burden has been lifted. Words cannot fully express the hope this act of kindness has restored in my heart.

To this generous family, I offer my deepest gratitude. You are no longer just supporters—you have become part of my educational journey, my life, and my future. God willing, every patient I heal and every life I touch in the years to come will carry the lasting impact of your kindness.

May Allah reward you abundantly. May He bless you and your family with health, peace, and endless blessings. May He open for you doors of goodness from places you never expected, and multiply the reward for every act of kindness you have shown.

I firmly believe that one day Palestine will be free. When that day comes, it will be one of the greatest honors of my life to welcome you to a free Gaza and thank you in person for what you have done for me.
