Feels like Base had the right idea about tokenizing everything, but a different definition of “everything” on what should be tokenized.
They were trying to speed run the race to a billion users, but we ended up with blockchain slop nobody wanted.
The efforts would have been more fruitful if the focus was on tokenizing assets that provided tangible yield (small business, real estate, etc)
They could still fill that gap by using their footprint by market making and supporting an order book for the above but not sure if they’re thinking about it that way.
