I mean of course they were. Musk is a big whining baby. And he has realized that by manufacturing such idiotic things, he can get support from Repubs and ... perhaps sell more Teslas.
@simardcasanova And it bears reiterating that Smith used "Invisible Hand" in a very different way to the one its used today. I remember that Chomsky made the same point many years ago in an interview.
Is the original context not known to people in the econ profession ?
He is making sense. But the same thing coming from soneone in the Labor Party will be construed as "far-left" utopian non-sense.
Also I find the cognitive dissonance astonishing here: We should do something for the working classes, but I am a Tory... In the 21st century.
@BartoszMilewski You sir have to tell me your secret. As a resident there for many years, rarely if ever did I have a good experience with parisian restaurants. I am glad that you had a positive experience though :)
Economists when physicist do economic modeling: human beings are not atoms.
Economists doing serious economics: Parents set up a bellman equation that they solve to compute the optimal action to take as their child cries in the corner.

@quant_arb @oscarmo23626945 What do you think would be a good place to start? For someone with decent programming experience (scientific modeling) but limited finance experience?

Je pense que y a pas pire que @bouyguestelecom en termes de mauvaise service. Même après avoir restitué les équipements, on continue à me harceler.
On me facture pour des équipements que j’ai déjà rendus. Une réponse @bouyguestelecom ?
This has been in the works for some time. But here it is. I am moving into a new job (non-academic) so would be shutting down this account.
If you want to still follow me (and god only knows why), send me a dm within the week. Cheers all !
@Kumar_EconIneq I dunno about your calculations but spending 10 euros for 2 books a month over 3-4 years of grad school should easily get you to 100 books no?
@Kumar_EconIneq I was a grad student till last year. I am in my late 20s. In the process of relocating so got rid of a quarter of my books. Still have 3 cartons full (~ 75 books) ready to ship.
