Shit posting acct, don’t follow anyone I know irl. idk why anyone is following me. Mets, Jets, MMA, Ohio State alum. My weakness is engaging with idiots on here
@hxxntrr The minimums account balances needed to earn a serious bonus make this rarely worth it compared to parking your money in a HYSA. 25k at 4% is a grand in interest a year, a $250 sign on bonus with a 90 day requirement is the same thing with more work
@GeorgeSkibo@nicocongi@CharlieFreyre I'm just saying we should have some self respect and expect more of the franchise now. The situation has changed. The past does not dictate the future. We should be good
@nicocongi@CharlieFreyre It’s not that deep man, it’s a kids game. I enjoyed watching when we sucked and had guys like Andrew Brown, and I’ll enjoy watching now. I’m just saying we should have some self respect and expect more of the franchise now. The past does not dictate the future. We should be good
@jwr020819 Obviously there are some situations where the player just wants to go a certain place (home city for example), other times they want to leave because just don’t like being there/they don’t believe in the vision. As the org leaders player dissatisfaction is 100% on sterns/cohen
@nicocongi@CharlieFreyre “It could be much worse” is a bullshit argument. We are owned by the richest owner in baseball in the biggest and wealthiest city in the country. Consistent World Series contenders has to be the goal under those conditions. We’re not Pittsburgh, don’t hold us to low standards
@MeekPhill_ I go to Cincy for work often and go to multiple reds games a year as a result and the crowd is always sooooo bad. the only game I’ve ever been to that had great attendance was Elly’s debut. It’s kinda crazy cause I was always told it’s such a good baseball town, but they DGAF
@112202_ Cause they fucked up and didn’t kick it out of bounds. It wasn’t a one or the other thing they def could have saved the TO if they were more strategic
@AriWasserman They were trying to save the two minute which is far more important than the less than 5% chance of a recovery. Skipping the onside was the prudent move. Why they didn’t just kick it out of bounds tho if they weren’t certain Santos could boot it out tho was really dumb
@MaverickBudsDad@mmaonpoint@arielhelwani that top 30 fighters are making less than 100k a year. The sport is exploitative because it’s a dream for so many, many of which don’t have the brains to walk away like you did. Also I found the Bryce number online, might be a tad low but likely not far off
@MaverickBudsDad@mmaonpoint@arielhelwani We’re in a modern era. The money is way bigger for UFC now than it was for baseball in 1900 or whatever. And the revenue split for UFC is like 10% for fighters while all other sports are 50%, and most of the UFC money goes to the top guys on top of that. It’s totally unjust 1/2
@MaverickBudsDad@mmaonpoint@arielhelwani Also an FA and totally agree with you. Still sucks cause on the fighters end the money simply isn’t there unless they’re top 15. Bryce Mitchell has only made 500k in his career and he’s way more well known than Charles. Plus they have to pay their own coaches. UFC is greedy af
@DamonMartin This isn’t for full MLB rights. The deal is mainly for a very limited number of games on Sunday plus a small fraction of playoffs. National MLB games aren’t even that popular as most fans juts follow their teams. This would be similar to like 2 apex fight nights and a June PPV.
@jrysana You could speed run civilization without even divulging into modern tech. 1.) value of an educated public, not at all a thing for roughly 1800+ years 2.) teach very basics of modern medicine (aka bacteria, not curses of gods). 3.) inflation, stop minting so many coins
@justaaaaaas@llallawg@JoePostingg Correct, I was more referring to the granting of gaulic elite with equestrain status under Caesar. The dwindling of what it meant to be “roman” had been going on for a long time as even Augustus and many other prominent figures of the time traced their family to outside Rome
@llallawg@JoePostingg You’re kinda proving the point on why ethno nationalism is stupid tho. Rome changed that philosophy under Julius Cesar (and in many cases before hand) and then soon entered its golden age. Rome didn’t hit its peak until it started incorporating other parts of the empire.
@DaleWinger@BoilerFanTalk@BDBSoCal@briantylercohen@grok top 5% own 62% of the nations wealth and pay 61% of income taxes. LTCG rates (aka income from doing nothing and just having wealth) is capped at 20% while income from actually working is at 37%. If you can’t grasp this you simply don’t have the e mental capacity to follow along
