@Onepeg 30k ON STEAM. Destiny is primarily a console game. Yes, they've lost a significant number of players but that happens when you're in a 6th month content drought with no word on the game's future at the same time you take devs away to put on a different game.
@TitusAwoken@JakeParkerLIVE@Sony@PlayStation You have no idea what you're talking about lmao. Bungie didn't "lose 700 million" the brand lost that much in valuation vs expected. And you're telling me that Bungie made 100k on Steam but sold just as much as GTA V and Forza Horizon 5, sure buddy. I don't believe you.
@eternalcrim@styxir_@david0101034 It wasn't meant to at first. That was before the higher ups at Bungie and Sony decided it was the game they wanted to lean on. It might not deserve all the hate it gets but it's the verified truth that Bungie took a lot of resources from Destiny to use on Marathon for years.
@CrusaderTwitch@arcstridur What are you on about man? I'd bet my whole income the playerbase plays different games all the time but still want a D3. There is nothing like Destiny on the market. It sounds to me like you've never played Destiny and are trying to be mad at it without understanding it.
@Sundownhylian@Dominus_420 Both Destiny 1 and 2 were great games and while the higher ups mismanaged Destiny, it was still far and away a great game. Get rid of the higher ups and let the developers work and you get additions like Moments of Triumph. It's literally that simple.
@glorpinity@Forcer69 Spamming the chat generates headlines and press. It also draws attention to it. Sony deeply cares about their brand image. I think you can see the point here.
@PlayStation Destiny 3 would outsell every game here and would continue the Destiny franchise forward. You know, the franchise that got you to buy Bungie in the first place...
@BluesReactor It does but Larkin doesn't solve the issue we ran into all year long. Where's the depth scoring? What happens when Larkin and Kyrou go cold? What about the 3rd defensive pairing?
@PizzaSportsGuy@NathanGraviteh Why do people think Wallstedt is going to get the Wild a 1C? Goalies have never had that kind of value on the market and never will. Wallstedt isn't prime Patrick Roy, he's a young rookie who had a good year.
@artchwk@KnownAsSys Bungie is likely screwed anyway whether you buy Marathon or not by that logic. Where's the evidence Sony is just going to let their 3.6 billion dollar acquisition rot anyway? They spent big money on this and they want profit out of it.
@DivideGaming21 Prophecy #1 by far for me. Followed by Sundered Doctrine. Vesper's would be my favorite if the servitor had 1/2 his health and Puppeteer didn't make the entire arena a hazard and instead only had a couple hazards at a time. Ghosts is 11th by far and Shattered throne in 10th.
@mathewjdp@JoshDriedger1 The Athletic reported mid season that the Blues want an established player, a top prospect, and a 1st for Kyrou. I don't know what to tell you, that deal doesn't match the want.
@CoolRunnerCraig If D2 is so expensive and got canned with it's playerbase, then I can't imagine Marathon is going to stick around much longer with it's playerbase. D1 is still being maintained too so the cost argument doesn't hold water.
@SkyAsassino If Marathon succeeds, we get more Marathon, not D3. If Marathon fails we don't get D3. There's no D3 unless Bungie and Sony change course and honestly, they deserve whatever happens. They put themselves on this path despite what common sense tells them.
