@MizzouEMS This was taken about 1984 - and that was a long time ago, so my memory is a little hazy. I don’t remember what the occasion was. I believe I took this photo on the same flight. It shows the Allouette over a less developed Providence & Nifong intersection.
My teenage son, not trusting that his mom was telling him all the plans for today and afraid we are going to make him go somewhere with us he doesn’t want to go, just exclaimed “You’re not giving me a proper mission brief!” I think someone’s watching too much History Channel.
@MizzouEMS@BooneCountyFire The fatality wreck with the Lifepak 5 was near the 4th of July holiday on Rt. B before it was improved. An impatient teenager (if I remember correctly) passed someone waiting to turn left and hit a car head on. I remember the grill of his truck was spray painted “Mad Man”.
From a structure fire standby earlier this morning. Knockdown of fire prior to our medic units arrival, strong work @Columbia_Fire! #workingfire#GetAfterIt
@MizzouEMS I don’t recognize that guy. Ruggedly handsome, though. I do recognize the telemetry phone and gear from when medics would have to “send a strip” from the field to the attending physician in dispatch. We have come a long way!
In addition to responding to 17 emergency calls (so far) today, Columbia firefighters instructed new recruits in fire behavior using live fire in a “doll house” instructional prop and held an impromptu rope skills refresher class.
This photo may help the unknowing grasp the loss that the family & friends of @appletonfire Firefighter Mitch Lundgaard are experiencing. He was gunned down helping a man, who had a gun, shooting/killing FF Lundgaard & inj others. @PFFW@mabaswisconsin#firefighter#LODD#RIP
