“someone who does not abandon tenderness when life becomes inconvenient. someone whose rage never frightens u, whose silence never punishes u, whose presence never belittles u. choose the one who treats u with care even when they are angry” also be kind too
I think one of the healthiest things I've learned is that you should let people reintroduce themselves to you, even your closest friends. Let them reintroduce their soul. Familiarity shouldn’t be a cage. Love them for who they are now, not just who they were then.
i think emotional education should be a real thing, i don't mean soft skills, i mean things like how to sit with boredom, how to be happy alone, how to protect the heart from persuasion, how to discern intuition, how to ask for feedback, opinions, or advice, how to grieve, etc.
I love people who engage with media and the things they love like this. Things we enjoy and that are precious to us don’t have to be “good” by some universal, objective standard and that’s the beauty of it!
when you think beautiful thoughts, you become more beautiful. your face starts to glow like the sun. experiment with this. you'll see. what's inside the soul is always reflected in the physical.
The older I get, the more I long for a simple life. Wake up early. Do hard things. Eat real foods. Obsess over something. Spend time with real ones. Read books. Avoid drama. Never gossip. Be grateful. That’s my definition of a good life.
