40th year of #sxsw means about the 39th year of articles predicting the eminent demise. It may well end some day. I've attended about half of those years and plan on having another great - if exhausting - week. Let's go.
I was reading an article recently talking about rituals versus habits. Not sure which category this fits, but know it's delicious. My preflight routine. @AustinAirport@tacodeli
Promising signs from @TexasMBB even if the result wasn't ideal. Honestly I stayed tuned in just to listen to @DickieV call another game. #awesomebaby for sure!
@seobrien Mostly agree. Sad to see Hugh and others gone. The geography it occupies feels about right though - I like it to be more walkable and centralized. I've spent less time in the convention center lately and agree with the comment that the hotels can pick up a lot of the slack.
@thomsinger Have started working on new things recently and feel the best is still in front of me. And am definitely not 20. Or 40 for that matter. Although I could do without the mirror reminding me…
Every athlete warms up. Every writer gets in flow.
Why should managers be any different?
Take 10 minutes.
Plan your day. Stretch. Think.
Cause your day, lest you fall into reacting to it.
Listening to @KUTX off and all all weekend while they play wall-to-wall @WillieNelson for his upcoming birthday. Pretty sure I haven't heard the same song twice in two days. #Legend
@thomsinger@SouthwestAir I fly them almost exclusively, A-list most years, and never check a bag, but will now reconsider my business. To your point, they are trading away their culture and that’s disappointing.
Was just thinking about how all the @sxsw breaking news used to unfold on this little platform called Twitter. Glad some of that energy still carries on. Took a recovery break today, but ready to jump back in!
After sitting idle through about 4 rings of hell on I35 at 10PM on a Thursday, I'd like to retract any unkind thing I ever said or thought about @EvilMopacATX
I love live music - but am so tired of all the hidden "convenience" fees from the large ticket sellers. I won't name the company, venue, or the band because they are all horrible. I'm sure none of it goes to the musicians. Guess I should stick with local acts and venues.
