@LesserIsMorer @stephen_burtch Not arguing he can’t be a star - just put himself before the team to get paid and hasn’t been remotely himself under pressure - including the last 2 (yes, brief) playoff “performances”. To me, you need to do that to earn your bread. I do hope he gets there. So many apologists.

He/his papa knew they could push Dubas given what happened with Willy - yes it’s on the GM, but the player cared about the money, not the team… which is totally fine, but then show up when it matters. (He hasn’t)

@LesserIsMorer @stephen_burtch Defence ya - but I’d say it’s a wash for playmaking - at least the past 8 months. Willy has a much crisper pass and can find redic seams… Marner certainly has more creativity but gets over-cute way too often these days - he needs to make the simple play more often…
