So, perhaps פתילות as in “wicks” are what attaches the flame to the oil and פתיל תכלת is a string that attaches the כנף corner. By the Cohen Gadol the פתיל on the מצנפת attaches the ציץ while ויכסו את החשן … בפתיל attaches the Choshen. 🤔
There’s a difference between the קרבן נתנאל and other poskim which takes priority, an opportunity to do a mitzvah or something unique that you don’t want to pass up, אין מעבירין על המצוות or the rule that constant mitzvot take priority to less common mitzvot, תדיר קודם?
