Kingsport’s Isabella van der Biest fired a 3-under, 69 to open the @USGA U.S. Girls’ Junior at @SentryWorld today.

Starting on the back nine, she ended her round with birdies on 3 of her last 5 holes.

She is currently T6 - top 64 after tomorrow advance to match play.

Isabella van der Biest and Sophia Burnett lost 1-up.

The duo didn’t even find out they were in the tournament as an alternate until a week prior. Now they are headed to match play.
