@ScholParents One for high schoolers: get an SAT Vocab list or flashcard set and post a word a day on the fridge. Try to use the word in a sentence each day and keep them up until the door is full. Or go all out and don't buy their favorite food until they master 10 words. #CWUEDAD583
Yesterday, I critiqued SkillsUSA students preparing for regionals. Then, I watched student presentations at the Lower Elwha School District Potlatch. I was blown away by the professionalism, knowledge, and passion of our students. PA students = QUALITY. #CWUEDAD583
@coachlew23 I dig it. After a lot of experimentation, I settled on several lamps for my EBD classroom to make a homier ambiance. It makes a huge difference in calmness and productive energy. I hadn't thought of using blue lights though. I have some more experimenting to do. #CWUEDAD583
I'm not a fan of charters, but definitely a fan of alt. ed. Who has experience in successful alt. ed. programs? What did you/they do? #CWUEDAD583

@MrKearney_ACES Has this happened in your classroom? Or is this a hypothetical? Either way, we can be culturally respectful by not casting broad judgment, but still empower the student and challenge the family. #CWUEDAD583
I'd like to hear some thoughts on a scenario that is all to real in the PNW: a natural disaster strikes; your school is devastated; your kids are in daycare; communications are down; granted our school has a plan... #CWUEDAD583#CascadiaSubductionZone

@endersdel@educationweek I've battled with my own perception on this for years as I've tried to incorporate different "personalized" programs in the classroom to support at-risk students. I have yet to see it be successful with my students. Usually, it leads to a lot of youtube surfing. #CWUEDAD583
Never thought I'd say this #CWUEDAD583: I miss our discussion board posts! They were a little less exposed than twitter, and my school had a very real and #toughweek.
