I wanted to share a part of the speech Ukraine's ambassador to Germany Oleksii Makeiev gave during the 19th Berlin Freedom Speech.
If you can, please listen to the whole speech by @Makeiev, it is available online.
"So what is freedom?
The answer depends on who gives it. But also where and when. A few years ago, you could have heard the same answer on a Saturday night in Berlin's Berghain and in one of Kyiv's clubs. Today, you would hardly ask anyone in Kyiv at night. There is a curfew. And instead of techno, you hear air raids and kamikaze drones.
Some of the people you would have found on a dancefloor in Kyiv four years ago are now on the front line. They used to rave all night. They used to rave all night. Now, they're on an all-night watch. They stand so that you can dance in Berghain. They stand for freedom. They stand until the end. And for some, the end has already come. The dance of death of the Russian war of extermination has become their last dance. They gave their lives for freedom. For a freedom that they can no longer enjoy."
Trump backs down from tariffs and escalates the tariff war with China. Markets pump, Bitcoin pumps. This is really just putting things almost back to where they were, like breaking a new vase and then gluing it back together. We all know he broke it and that the vase will last a little longer, but if he knocks it over again, there's no fkn way he's gluing that thing back together again, no matter how many professional vase-fixers he yells at to fix his mess.
Let the volatility continue in the final phase of the 18-year real estate and economic cycle! #18yearcycle #winnerscurse
