@ChrisPirillo All those carrots have me craving a Big Mac. AI is the problem and the fix. Better algorithms, better values. We cannot expect human graders to do that kind of work, but an AI mind might be able to. Inoculation works in a similar way. ...

@ChrisPirillo@nothing So grabbing a phone before it was activated means you cannot brick the phone… right? Good argument for pre-activating phones. One of the best aspects of this type of tech is its ability to prevent itself from being stolen by making the crime less valuable.
Journalism has failed us as an institution, but we should not confuse commentary with journalism. Or for that matter, advocacy. You’re right to call out advocacy and commentary as such, but let’s make room for the emergence of real journalists by exterminating the illusion that this person is behaving as a journalist.
Richard Stallman is the fun one in the open source community Linus is a pragmatist. “Chatbots are Bullshit Generators.”
• “They generate text and they don’t understand really what that text means… You can’t trust anything that they generate.”
• “I’ve come up with the term ‘Pretend Intelligence’… Every time you call them AI, you are endorsing the claim that they are intelligent and they’re not.”
• “Programs like ChatGPT don’t understand anything and don’t know anything.”
@grok I did the audio separately from the video, just learning what this stuff can do. I was thinking about using iMovie... I wonder if Grok can do it. Hey, it's a first run…. I am excited by the options.
I'm doing some crazy stuff with the 4.5 build. The best part is that it works really well with local AI agents. Installing them, configuring them, and then finishing a job with them is straightforward. Its design sense isn't that great, but I can ask it to create a movie and all I have to do is give it a script... That's pretty cool. Well, I guess I could have it write the script... Naaaa.
@elonmusk Did you know you can get Grok to do video editing? Go figure!
I used Qwen 3 as the local voice model for the dialog, but everything else was built with Grok 4.5 and Imagen, plus a video editor… might have been a part of Blender, who knows...
Speaking of change, check out https://t.co/FBk3T2ppZ0. This is a seriously advanced game!
It’s a one-shot built with a lot of agentic work. Creating the assets alone took over an hour, plus three rest breaks. It still needs some tweaking, but this is exactly the kind of asset development we’ve been missing.
The whole story is in the original prompt:
“I want you to create an Asteroids game, but I want you to make a good-looking raster version of it with lots of eye candy and power-ups — extra lives, triple bullets, etc. Think of Maelstrom but make it better. Larger screen — in fact, make it a scrolling screen, basically an 8x8 screen space.
My thinking on the assets is that you create the images using ChatGPT’s image models and then remove the assets from the backgrounds so they have transparent PNGs. Qwen 3 is running on this mac, so let’s add some colorful dialog when power-ups are captured or when ships are destroyed. Be as creative as you can… but make it fun.”
