@PhillipCMcCann In addition to the slanted microchannel, guiding tracks (10.1039/C2LC40456G) and softer divider (10.1039/C4LC01194E) can be incorporated to our design for better throughput. And yes, we can do this in our lab.

To answer your first question, there is no size limit for this technology. But as the droplet size increases the sorting throughput will decrease.
And the composition does matter as DEP depends on the permittivity of the droplet content.
