Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific.
@POTUS needs to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter.
@mariammalo 4) Work-life balance feels really achievable here. No 24s and minimal night shifts contributes to that. Despite being an intern, I feel I still have a lot of time to spend with my co-residents, partner, exercise, cook, play video games, etc, etc! @TuftsFMR_CHA
@mariammalo 3) I love my co-residents and we support e/o in so many ways. One of the best examples is that interns have protected time every single Friday to get together and talk about how everything is going and how to support each other if we need it :-) @TuftsFMR_CHA
@mariammalo 2) We have weekly residency check-ins with our PD. We just had our residency retreat w/ faculty last week to talk about the goals & values of the program, and it was wonderful to reconnect w/ e/o! I really feel that I could go directly to our PD w/ any concerns or q's.
@mariammalo Hi Mariam :-) 1) I'm really happy w/ the way the transition went. I feel well supported as an intern and confident in asking for help when I need it, and simultaneously I feel that I am respected and that my attendings trust my judgment about patients.
@AhmedAlmafrach1@TuftsFMR_CHA Hey! Intern year is pretty split inpt/outpt, but 2nd and 3rd year there's a lot more outpt! The intern schedules do a good job alternating inpt/outpt so you're never in one place for too long :-)
@LChambily@TuftsFMR_CHA there are many opportunities to review & reflect on feedback we've gotten w/ our attendings, advisor (we're all paired w/ one), and Judy, our amazing clinical psychologist. Feedback here is often a two-way street— attendings also want feedback on how they can better support us!
@LChambily@TuftsFMR_CHA Hey Lucile! On our inpt rotations, attendings carve out time to give 1-on-1 feedback in person. There's also a Google form for each of us that staff/providers can fill out for feedback that we have access to as residents! What I most appreciate about feedback here is... (1/2)
@DaniGuo_Huanyu@TuftsFMR_CHA Hi Dani! I don't know them all, but we just did our fall retreat w/ all of the residents & faculty last week, a big grad party in June for the PGY3s as the PGY1s are starting, and every Friday afternoon the interns have clinic, so we've been trying to hang afterward every week!
Submitted my ERAS application yesterday! Looking forward to all the folks I'll meet on the interview trail and hopefully finding my perfect fit! #FMRevolution#Match2023
