After watching people talk about metaverse stuff i am so confused about the terminology, why do people call it THE metaverse when it is multiple different ones? it's like saying "i'm investing in the country" but not specifying where you live

in the end i am not qualified to speak on if this is a security problem or not, it is definitely not as bad as i suspected, hopefully this ends up being positive, though i suspect very few real criminals would be caught by this system

this is a great case of "the ends don't justify the means" just because it's for a noble cause doesn't mean that one of the biggest phone manufacturers in the world can scan your pictures, i can't accept this as a good thing.

quick update, from what we are being told, they will be using your phone's hardware to scan things uploaded to the cloud. while i understand that they have the right to define what is allowed on the cloud, i'm not so sure about using customers hardware for it

@Minecraft "mobs only spawn in complete darkness" i love this change, it makes building nice structures with moody lighting so much easier, and makes using only one or two candles light a meaningful area, not to mention adding more utility to the glow lichen

@MikeMcCready i mean, i think the problem for me is they're just floating around you vaguely following where you're facing, they are genuinely hard to find sometimes. if it's on your wrist or gun or somewhere like that i can definitely get behind it
