Joe Morello might look like a baby-faced accountant, but his drum solo on "Take Five" is the coolest, yet most elegant drum solo in the history of jazz 🎶.

Monica and I are walking the Carson Trail (1848) west of Tragedy Spring, Amador County. The elevation is about 8000', and the temperature was in the low 80s, making for a warm day in the mountains. This section of the trail follows a ridge, as many of the old Pioneer Trails do, with spectacular views. Every once in a while, we would come upon blazes in the trees. These are man-made "signs" on a trail. When were they made? We don't know. In its heyday, 1849-1854, over 100,000 people passed by right here.
@sammazinng So true! I’m headed to Miami next week and I’m curious to see how much cheaper it is there. Priced here are out of control. I don’t know how people eat out anymore. Not just sit down places but fast casual spot are not even worth the money.
Well, which is it?
Whether you wanna call it a quesadilla or not, The Taco Spot in Arizona is slinging some absolutely bomb-ass birria "pizza" that you cannot deny is muy auténtico. Their family recipes, passed down straight from Jalisco, Mexico, take a ton of their dishes to another level — flavors and quality most restaurants around here can't even dream of touching.
On top of that, the waitstaff brings attitudes and energy that are genuinely second to none: friendly, fast, and proud of what they serve. From the rich, consomé-dipped crust to the perfectly melty cheese and tender birria, every bite screams genuine authenticity.
If you're anywhere in AZ, stop what you're doing and hit this spot. You won't regret it.
