At 6:29 a.m. on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a murderous attack on Israeli civilians - men, women, and children. It was the deadliest act of terrorism and antisemitic violence against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Among those murdered, burned, raped, and slaughtered were Israelis and Americans; Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
No one can rewrite history and turn the aggressor into the victim. Nothing can obscure the atrocities committed by this abhorrent terrorist organization against civilians in their homes, in their own country.
The people of Israel will stand united against any attempt to do so.
In the face of terrorism and the darkest forces of hatred - which New York City knows all too well from the horrors of September 11 - truth must always prevail.
The remarks by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani are a reckless distortion of the truth. They are pure antisemitism, with no basis in fact. They are dangerous, inflammatory, and have no place anywhere - certainly not in 2026.
At a time when populism is on the rise and some leaders count on the public having a short memory, we will not allow anyone to question the right of the people of Israel to live in security in their own country. Nor will we accept any attempt to equate despicable terrorist organizations with the Israel Defense Forces - our safeguard. The IDF operates according to clear values and in accordance with international law, with a deep conviction in the justice of its cause.
The Golders Green attack is sickening. The Jewish community is being attacked now in a way this country has not seen for decades - perhaps centuries. What is the useless Sadiq Khan doing? What is the government doing? Their apathy is disgraceful.
The only people who think Elon did a Nazi salute are the Woke Left and the Woke Right.
The Woke Left wants it to be a Nazi salute to lambast all Republicans.
The Woke Right wants it to be a Nazi salute because they want Nazis in charge.
In reality, both sides are delusional.
“לא אשב בממשלה עם נתניהו כי הוא מייצג גישה שמסכנת את עתידה של מדינת ישראל. העקרונות שלי לא מאפשרים לי לתמוך במנהיג ששם את טובתו האישית מעל הכל״ (גדעון סער, אוגוסט 2022)
~150 Christian-majority nations, ~50 Muslim-majority nations, almost each one established through bloodshed and displacement - including our own.
But it’s the 1 Jewish-majority nation, a multi-cultural democracy constantly under attack by its neighbors, that protestors wish to see destroyed.
The reason people say "river to the sea" is because they believe the entire land is Arab land. The reason they believe the entire land is Arab land is because they don't know that even throughout all the 1,000+ years of Caliphate colonialism, the land was still split between Jewish and Arab majority areas. The reason they do not know that there have always been Jewish majority areas, alongside Arab majority areas, is because they don't know that the land was once entirely Jewish majority land as the indigenous population before Christian & Islamic conquests (and others), bringing in various other (often transient) populations. The reason they don't know any of that, despite this factual and well-documented information being available for the last 5 months, much less the last 5 decades, is because, well, they are antisemitic. Calling for the entire land to exist as an exclusively Arab ethnostate under Islamic rule, when the demography of the land has never—in all of history— existed as such in these ethically diverse regions, can be categorized by nothing other than ultra-nationalistic supremacy & virulent hated of Jewry.
Erdogan, who is committing genocide against the Kurds and who holds the world record for imprisoning journalists who oppose his regime, is the last person who can preach morality to us.
The IDF, which is the most moral army in the world, is fighting to eliminate the most abhorrent and brutal terrorist organization in the world, Hamas-ISIS, which has committed crimes against humanity, and which Erdogan has praised and whose leaders he hosts.
Instead of putting aside politics for a day and wishing people a Merry Christmas, I have seen multiple commentators, in an attempt at rewriting history, insist that Jesus was born a Palestinian refugee in the West Bank.
It is ahistorical and anachronistic to characterize Jesus, who was Jewish, as a Palestinian refugee in the West Bank. Even worse, it is antisemitic to compare Israelis to the Romans who murdered Jesus. Associating Jews with the murder of Jesus is antisemitism. Period.
You’re entitled to your own opinions on the Israeli Palestinian conflict but you’re not entitled to rewrite history to fit your propaganda.
America’s top universities should abandon their long misadventure into politics, retrain their gaze on their core strengths and rebuild their reputations as centers of research and learning.
My take:
@RabbiWolpe No person who refuses to condemn calls for the genocide of Jews could ever be considered "kind" or "thoughtful". She is a Nazi who should immediately #ResignNow
