@nealjclark1 I've considered becoming a builder but codes are discouraging. Thought about building with cheap windows, getting the final inspection and then replacing the garbage windows with single pane wood windows. Reusing the plastic ones each new build and replacing them post inspection

@scratchyjohnson We have a high efficiency tankless (natural gas + a natural gas dryer) summer gas bill is under $50 for family of 6. Water bill is $200+ though, because we pay for sewer in blood in Birmingham 😂. Might have to switch.

@jmj @DisgracedProp Went to big box store to buy brass coat hooks, got home only to realize they were brass plated. Looked closer, label said the were 'gold colored' . Returned them and went to competitor. Not labeled as such, but we're also plated zinc. Ordered from Etsy. Hopefully they are real.

yep—once we decide on the basis of autonomy and choice that someone has a right to die there can be no coherent way to contain it —even “mature minors” will be “eligible” (without parents consent because….autonomy)
