@reformconfess@Ligonier I am understanding σοζο, in 1 Tim 2, to mean "kept safe" or "delivered." As you say, the word has a range of meanings.
How were you using it when you quoted it? What about that passage seemed relevant to the Ligonier video about young women that want to be married but aren't?
@reformconfess@Ligonier Nobody is getting into heaven because they did or did not have kids. That's way outside of any "reformed & confessional" viewpoint and outside of orthodoxy (small o) in general.
If we want to talk about context, then any discussion of 1 Timothy 2:15 needs to start with Artemis.
@AskYatharth ive unfortunately had to conclude reflecting on the world's history over my lifetime that empirically speaking just about every slippery slope argument should be presumed correct
With the restaurant discourse, I will chime in as always to say that, if you train your kids to sit in big church every Sunday, you can take them ANYWHERE.
I ate one almond the other day. Then I felt bad about the water usage, so I thought to myself - well I just won’t make the next 15,000 AI queries I was planning on making
@ScottAgness Wait, so CC *was* the grand marshal? I saw a bunch of people dragging the parking lady for not believing that Siakam was the grand marshal.
@D_West30 Clearly he had a narrative planned about it being a wild prayer of a shot that just got lucky.
You said something like "I only take shots that I practice." I've always loved that.
Anyway, hope life & "retirement" is continuing to treat you well. Thanks for being a great leader.
@D_West30 Hey @D_West30 I'm a lifelong Pacer fan. Since I'm seeing you on Twitter I should probably tell you that you've been my go-to example of "consistency" for years.
A long time ago, you hit a game-winner from just inside the 3pt line. A reporter asked "Did you practice that shot?"
