Dear God….please Lord…be in every word I speak, in the manner by which I speak, in the thoughts I think, in the actions I do, in the emotions I express, in the ideas I create, and the ambitions I wish to fulfill.
Teach me to communicate in ways that are easily understood.
One thing I’ve found to be true is that dying to self made me hear God clearer. To whoever wants to hear Him more—die to self, die to your own fleshly desires, die to the things you want that are not according to His will—then His still small voice will become louder and louder.
When God gives an instruction and we do not do it… or we delay in doing it, there’s a grace period, but after that…
Do not expect things to go smoothly… #lifelessons#learnedfromexperience
You can’t run away from God’s instructions.
You can twist it, delay it, partially obey it, avoid it… but you will get more and more uncomfortable, no peace, no joy, no rest; and go around in circles until you actually listen to Him.
I know. I’ve tried.
I find that God speaks in a still small voice, even when He can be loud obvious and thundering; it’s like a nudge that you can miss, that’s why it’s easy to doubt it. But maybe it’s because He wants us to lean in…trust…and faith it.
Just read this, makes sense:
‘To hear God’s voice we must belong to God. Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Those who hear God’s voice are those who belong to Him.’
I used to think chemistry was the most important thing in a relationship.
Now more than ever, I am convinced that it is PURPOSE- marrying someone that will help you fulfill God’s call, mission and design for your life
Have there been times that I obeyed God even when I didn’t want what He was asking me to do?
Absolutely.
Because how dare I call Him ‘Lord’ if I do not give Him Lordship over the direction my steps.
“We all make mistakes but repentance is not ‘I’m sorry Lord’, repentance is I stop doing that. We can’t say ‘I repent’ and go and do the same thing, that’s not repentance, that’s just lip talk”

Jesus fed the 5,000 but only 500 followed him after lunch. He had 12 disciples but only 3 prayed with him in the garden before his arrest. Then, only 1 stood with him at the cross. The closer you get to the cross, the smaller the crowd becomes
