Had the DNP cardiologist call me to ask if the patient was shivering and to upload a new EKG. She was right, the patient did look kind of cold. A few blankets later and he fell into a deep, comfortable sleep. I turned the monitor off so the beeping wouldn’t wake him.
That awkward moment when you discover that the nurse practitioner you're writing an article about appears to be practicing with an expired license under a supervising physician who's been dead for more than five years...#StayTuned
We don’t even allow successfully graduated medical students to practice in TN w out a residency! Yet SB0671 allows PAs to practice Medicine w the equivalency of an MS2. What problem are you trying to fix? @CGiordano1225@drpurkey@Docbasia@AmberThackerMD@tnmed

#txlege is this who you want taking care of Texans with mental illness? 100% online classes. Open book no proctor exams. And a few weeks of standing around watching. When is the last time you learned a complicated skill? Would online classes and shadowing have been enough?
I hate having to intervene on a fellow doc’s errors. Yesterday a patient came in feeling poorly, tachy and tremulous. The physician had the nerve to stop their Synthroid. It’s like, helloooo, the TSH is low, not high. Increase the dose! Glad I called the patient to let them know.
@MidlevelCare@DrQuinn15 This is INSANE! No wonder there is a shortage of physicians. They are all busy trying to stand up for patient safety and fight this nonsense from nonphysicians that want to practice medicine without going to medical school #TrainingMatters#StopScopeCreep
Welp, another textbook CHF case that’s been struggling for a month and treated by NP for “abnormal chest X-ray” with antibiotics. Now for inpatient treatment and echo. Saving healthcare dollars and increasing access to care!
I don’t understand why people think I should live in a rural town when I can live where I want, make more money, and work less hours. Let those “I just want to help people” residents move to Mississippi.
The road to financial freedom starts here! So excited for this course!!!

On Pro-NP studies:
“of 9,000 studies reviewed over the last 50 years, just 18 were of adequate quality to include in a review of the subject. Of these 18 studies, just THREE were published in the United States“
