Congratulations to Neros who delivered early and received the bonus order for Drone Dominance Phase 1. All USA made parts too. And they've placed high again for the Phase 2 qualifier.

More of the same today, you love to see it. Still believe we're early in the Drone Supercycle with plenty of catalysts ahead. A lot of Defense money still to be spent before the term's end. And a massive amount of money sits waiting for approval in next year's Defense budget. Just a 24000% increase for Drones. Nothing major.

Last but not least is a massive ramp in expansion for the company in the coming months. Nothing but good times ahead. We're early.

Today, we signed definitive agreements to acquire @WiskAero, @skygridai, and @Insitu_Inc from @Boeing, with Boeing taking a stake in Archer and becoming a strategic partner. We anticipate closing the transaction by year end.

Wisk will accelerate our Halo/Thunder dual-use aircraft platform. Deploying nascent tech early in defense benefits our entire business. Wisk has some of the most advanced autonomy, flight controls, and sensor technologies in the industry. We plan to deploy that technology on Halo first, so that we can harden it and then bring it back to the air taxi platform when the FAA is ready to certify autonomy for passenger air taxis.

Insitu is an incredibly trusted and reputable intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance drone manufacturer. They operate a profitable business with over $200M in annual revenue across 35 countries and they’ve manufactured 4,000 Group 2 & 3 UAS to date. For us that means an immediate revenue base to grow plus data from 2M autonomous flight hours.

SkyGrid is complementary to ZEE, our new foundation AI model for aviation that we recently announced. SkyGrid has been in use as next-generation airspace management solutions since 2018 and we believe that when combined with Zee it can become a “must have” air traffic management product that helps modernize airspaces around the world.

This transaction will help accelerate our evolution into becoming a diversified aerospace and defense platform. After closing, our product portfolio will span piloted air taxis, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in Groups 2 through 5, purpose-built AI for aviation, and the vertical technology stack for autonomous flight.

NEW: Royal Navy sea drones secretly sent data to China.

Cameras onboard a fleet of surveillance drones were found to contain Chinese parts despite assurances from suppliers that they were secure.

An investigation found the cameras had been sending “heartbeat” signals to an IP address in China, forcing the Ministry of Defence to remove their connectivity.

The Navy purchased the drones, made by Kraken Technology Group, in March. They are set to be sent to the Strait of Hormuz as part of the UK’s plan to protect the waterways.

The MoD insist no sensitive data was breached and vulnerabilities have now been patched. Defence sources say this is a “major” failure.

1️⃣ July 17 — Powerus advanced to Phase 3 of the @USArmy xTech Adaptive Strike competition, selected as one of up to 10 finalists.

2️⃣ July 30 — The S-4 was officially filed with the SEC. This is the registration statement required for the proposed merger, and a major step toward completing the transaction and bringing Powerus public.

3️⃣ August 4 — @usairforce awarded Powerus an IDIQ contract with a ceiling of up to $90M through mid-2028.

The next few months is the put up or shut up moment for defensetech: it is obvious that the primes cannot provide anywhere near the wartime scale required to replenish munitions stocks. The only question now is if the swagger of the newcomers is anything more than VC storytime.
