We are going to save the U.S. from the two party system. Washington Voting combines open primaries, Condorcet voting, and Publicly Auditable Online voting
@HawleyMO@simonschuster Should be a moot point anyway-if you think a private company choosing not to publish the words of a pseudofascist government leader is Orwellian, you’re probably not smart enough to write a book.
The fact that we had a pair of separate, concurrent town halls where we chose between insularly following one or the other, rather than all of us having to engage with the same thing -the debate, is such an obvious metaphor for today’s political climate, it feels like bad writing
The man in the Navy sweater- he demonstrates America’s true power. The people, even unarmed and without armor, facing the slings and arrows of propaganda and the clubs and mace of brute force oppression, will stand unflinching, never yielding. We shall overcome.
@fairvote Clearly RCV is an improvement to the current system, but what are your thoughts on Condorcet voting? Especially when considering the possibility for more extreme outcomes with bottom out RCV systems, as happened in Burlington, Vermont before they opted to remove RCV.
@RonSteslow@ProjectLincoln This failure of leadership goes deeper than just the flaming Trumpster fire that is our president. We need to reform our election system so this never happens again.
@ProjectLincoln What are we going to do after we’ve removed Trump from office to make sure it never happens again? We need to reform our election system to stop the parties from hijacking our democracy and leaving us with Hillary v. Trump lesser of two evil nightmares.
This is what happens when we have partisan politicians instead of leaders who actually represent American interests over Republican or Democratic interests.
No one should be told they don’t deserve a voice because they don’t belong to a dominating party. That is tyranny. We must demand open primaries. https://t.co/vc0f6Gyj7g
