Making sure to pop the question a lot earlier from now on, I have a bad habit of wasting too much energy from giving and planning for those who really aren’t interested in the first place.
Before I made it, a career design was my hobby. Now that metrics and monetization strategy is tied to everything it’s become a whole lot less fun. So I’m going to spend the next month creating Digital products that solve my own problems and sharing the journey along the way.
@kittenheelsrule@mochasthing Also don't be afraid to apply somewhere you know you can level up. I wanted to work at a new Art Museum that was opening in town but all they had for open positions was a barista, mentioned my skillset in the interview. Now I'm a staff designer here. Be an intrapreneur!
@kittenheelsrule@mochasthing All of these people suck. Idk why social media makes people so negative. I would say use your stat to apply to all the museums and art galleries in town! After that its sounds like you sound talk to management at all the major dept. stores like Macy's, etc.

Hey Designers! If you know Figma, you already know Tailwind layout. I told @Replit to build an app that shows you the equivalent Tailwind for Figma layout settings. It made a very tasteful app out of the box. Check it out here: https://t.co/bdP1nREpy1
We built TLDW (too long, didn't watch), a tool that helps you learn from long YouTube videos better & faster.
AI video summaries are solving the wrong problem.
You don't need a generic text summary of a 1-hour video. You need the 5 minutes that actually change how you think.
TLDW finds those moments for you.

X is a strange place. People hop on here with fully confident their genitals are the first thing the rest of the world needs to see in the A.M. Meanwhile, I’m trying to make a living as a product designer and slowly realizing it’s not possible without being an online personality.
Two things I’m deeply curious about:
1. Addressing the gap between job training and actual career advancement.
2. Real-Time Translation (or platforms for shared understanding).
This month I’m allowing myself to create imperfect prototypes of how we might advance on these fronts
My other big mistake has been falling for the trap of perfectionism. I’v e let the anxiety of trying to create something perfect grow so much I’ve let it keep me from putting out personal projects I’ve created along time ago.
Zero dollars and zero cents.
Thats how much I made as a Freelance UX Designer this past month. I put my head down, focused on solely on fulfillment all that did was leave me with an empty pipeline.
I love being a designer but the real work is in creating the opportunity itself.
