@SpaceX , @Axiom_Space, and @blueorigin and more are engineering giants, they work on the hardware to get us regularly to space - they are not flight schools. And they don't want to be i assume.
They are focused on building the "real estate" in orbit, but every hour they spend teaching a civilian how to use a life-support interface is an hour taken away from their core mission.
Worse yet is the liability. If a candidate panics in a centrifuge or can’t handle task saturation halfway through a provider's expensive training cycle, it costs them millions in wasted simulator time and empty seats. Fees, fixed costs and equipment is a 'loss' in that case.
Launch providers surely don't want just tourists who act as a liability, they want assets to their crews, they need "plug-and-play" operators.
This is where Mission Prometheus comes in.
When i started this mission concept last year, this was not to 'just make another' analog mission. We use these missions as an anvil, a testing ground or sandbox, to extract our Operational Baseline. Through the dirt and sweat of our deployments (like our work at @habitatmarte ), we find the breaking points early.
We test Cognitive Resilience: Can you make decisions when alarms are going off and communication lags?
We forge Synchronization: Can a crew of strangers function as a single unit under intense pressure?
Our long-term goal is simple: be the number one space readiness and human infrastructure company for the new space age.
Mission Prometheus is just Step 1: The Foundation. It feeds into our 3-tier Architecture of Competence, which scales all the way up to Space Readiness Training (SRT), the pinnacle technical layer where we will certify candidates for orbital flight in the future.

Yesterday was a milestone for me and @stellaris_hub .
I had the opportunity to pitch our vision to the @esa Spark committee, an evaluation board made up of ESA members, technology brokers, and representatives from the @DLR_SpaceAgency .
I’ll be honest: sitting in front of the people who set the standards for European spaceflight is a damn kind of "stress test" other than our missions in the field. But the message i had remained the same.
We discussed a paradox I call the "locked door": while the gates to space are opening wider than ever through commercial innovation, the craft of making someone genuinely mission-ready remains locked inside elite government programs.
My message to the committee was, that the next era of space will be civilian, too, and we exist to put the key to that door into people’s hands
We are taking space-grade know-how and engineering it into modular, repeatable formats that turn civilians into mission-ready assets.
It was a proud moment to show them that we aren’t just "theorizing" but we’ve already proven the development of the model through Mission Prometheus.
The ESA Spark program is about technology transfer - taking established space know-how and moving it into commercial civilian applications.
That is exactly what we are doing with our 3-tier architecture of competence.
This pitch wasn't just about funding, but for us it was also about the technical guidance and a pathway to the european human-spaceflight ecosystem that we want to access to go to the next level.
