@ZaltzCricket speaking of Anderson and ducks: remember that for a long time he held the surprising record of most consecutive test innings without a duck - it took a very long time before he had his first one

Hello Tom, lovely to be hearing your dulcet tones during the NBC breaks again!
Any thoughts on the million dollar non-champ event at Thermal this year? Fun? Gimmick? Anything like the old Marlboro Challenge from the 80s and 90s?
@TomGaymor@IndyCaronNBC@IndyCar Also I can't stop evangelising about @indycar to any of my friends who've become disillusioned with the monotony of Formula 1.
@TomGaymor@IndyCaronNBC@IndyCar It's in terrific shape right now. The series has such a fascinating history, full of ups and downs, and a really interesting evolution over the last 40-odd years. Would love to see a few more classic ovals on the calendar, though I can understand why they might not be so keen.
@Hinchtown so maybe the winning strategy today could be to stay out of the pits and then ride all the yellow flags all the way to victory? I vaguely remember that working for the #5 once before... ๐ค๐

@LydiaCaradonna Hey! That's My Fish!
It's the one game I know that I can explain in about 5 mins whilst completely hammered and then have all the players locked in a fierce battle of wills within about 60 seconds of starting.
Can be played over and over again in one sitting.
@TomGaymor#skyindycar well that was a fun race!
The Rahal/RHR comments at the end from the NBC team reminded me of St Petersburg 2008.
Rahal overtook RHR on a restart to take the lead and win his maiden victory.
Any guesses as to which team RHR was running for at the time?
@TomGaymor#skyindycar in 1983, in 100F heat in Cleveland, Al Unser was so hot he was calling for a relief driver, then his crew tipped a bin full of water into his cockpit. He went on to win the race. Any chance of today's racers doing the same? ๐คฃ
@TomGaymor Thank you Tom, loving the coverage. Today's race was excellent. Just for context: I became an IndyCar fan during COVID - during the absence of live sport I started following the races from '93 onwards as a stand-in, and this year I finally caught up with the present!
