I met Linda Smalley at a legal clinic for homeowners in Germantown. She told me about the one issue she wasn't able to get help with: a tree that had fallen from an empty lot and into her yard 6 years ago. (I had her repeat that number a few times.)
Inquirer readers stepped up, offering money and their personal chainsaws to help Linda remove the tree that had been lying in her backyard for 6 years, keeping her from being able to use her yard and deck, which was damaged.
