@billybinion They absolutely caved on by far the most consequential issue, which was Trump's ability to be prosecuted. So they created a monster, now want to hem him in. But they'll be remembered for their original failure.
@NRO@noonanjo So if you think the Wapo and legislators were working in tandem to change VMI, what do you make of what Youngkin, one of his biggest donors on the BOV, the VMI PAC, the new Cadet newspaper, and the conservative blogosphere were doing for the last four years?
@michelepexner@DeptofWar Oh yeah, brilliant. I'm sure Dems at the federal level will love VMI as a federal institution once they're back in power. Genius.
@Exner_Garrett@DelDanHelmer The 2020 study focused on the culture at the school, as you are aware. This is a study for ROI and value to the Commonwealth.
@EsqAndTwins Judging by the reaction of much of the VMI community, it seems like a fair solution. Not sure why the Helmer's resolution has caused such consternation, given those sentiments.
@notlarrysabato This is dead on. The Senate said they were worried about the political partisanship of some appointees, so this ex-appointee goes on a political rant, complaining about his rejection. Senate completely vindicated.
@CynicalPublius Pro-violence? What, did they pardon 1600 convicted insurrectionists? Or perhaps they murdered an unarmed mother while she drove away? Or maybe they threatened to militarily invade a NATO ally.
