At Fashion Art Toronto, Brennan Clost and Michael Usling stood out not just for what they wore, but for how they lifted each other up. One’s a dancer/actor, the other a designer. Usling’s a CAFA recipient, Clost starred on TV, and together as a gay couple in the arts, they’re all about supporting each other. No competition, just pride.🌈 #BrennanClost #MichaelUsling #FashionArtToronto

What the hell is going on in Canadian media?
Why was journalist Tina Yazdani — who was dogged in her coverage of Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s government — suddenly fired from CityNews without any explanation to the public?
This is potential-major-press-freedom-story levels of concerning:
Doug Ford doesn’t want another Robyn Doolittle moment: Doug Ford watched his brother Rob get absolutely torched by one relentless investigative reporter, Robyn Doolittle at the Toronto Star. She caught the mayor lying about crack cocaine, and it nearly destroyed the whole family. Now look at what’s happening: Tina Yazdani, one of the only Queen’s Park reporters who actually grilled this government, gets fired by CityNews. Two of her toughest Ford stories? Quietly scrubbed from the website. And right on cue, Doug’s rushing through changes to bury his own phone records and exempt his office from Freedom of Information retroactively. He learned exactly what happens when a good journalist gets too close to the truth. He doesn’t want to live through it again. This isn’t about modernizing anything. This is a Premier trying to make sure nobody ever exposes him the way his brother got exposed. @CityNewsTO@fordnation
Yet another move from this government to take democratic decision making from local communities and put it in the Premier's hands.
We don't need more PC puppets in government.
Zara Larsson condemns ICE and the criminalization of drugs in new Stories:
“Idk about yall but I'd rather have someone smoking crack on my couch than a f**king ICE agent ewwwwwwwww. They're criminals too. Killing, kidnapping, violent, hateful ones.”
Beginning to process what I witnessed in Palestine.
The devastating human toll of the illegal actions that are encouraged right here in my home district is unspeakable.
There is nothing more sacred than a human life.
