@lautareke@curedoka El merkén en el borde es la firma chilena: ahumado y picante sin tapar el limón. Los sabores de maracuyá y mango ya son otra discusión.
Key lime or Persian lime? Key limes are smaller, sharper and more aromatic, and you'll squeeze a few more of them. Persian limes are juicier and easier. Either one fresh beats the plastic lime from the fridge door.
Where the name changes:
Beer, lime, salt: chelada.
Add Worcestershire, Maggi, hot sauce: michelada.
Add tomato or Clamato: ojo rojo, in a lot of northern Mexico and the US.
Names are contested. That's the fun part. https://t.co/rZHIAM07pt
@GimmeDatKAKE@GoneTilOctober Caesar is Clamato and vodka — Canadian cousin. A michelada keeps the beer in charge. The clear one is usually just a chelada: beer, lime, salt.
Maggi and Worcestershire are cousins, not twins. Maggi is deeper and saltier; Worcestershire is brighter and tangier. Pick one for a clean michelada. Both together only if you taste as you go.
Order a michelada in Colombia and you get cold lager, fresh lime, and a salted rim. That's it. No Clamato, no Worcestershire, no hot sauce. The word traveled; the recipe stayed home.
